Rugby players are tinytits and if they hit each other it's like children bumping each other.
NFL teams only sign genetic freaks who are many times more athletic than any rugby player. The most athletic rugby player would at best be middle of the road athletic wise in the NFL.

BS! Rugby became sandlot in the states. Equipment came from the abrasions. Every kid in the states whoever played organized ball got f@@ked up on the weekends playing sandlot.

Well, there is a strategy to almost anything in life. Even the simplest things. The question is what depth the game has. And I think the NFL does not have much depth compared to other sports. It's very simple and fast. Less variables than other games.

The USA is where the best MMA fighters fight in the UFC and Strikeforce. MMA in Japan is dead.
There have been no serious brain or spinal injuries in either the UFC or Strikeforce to my knowledge. These injuries have happened to NFL players during games.

in rugby there is "resting" in all the stoppages for lineouts, kicks, scrums
in nfl if there werent alloted breaks, no human would cope, its very fast, dynamic
in rugby no high tackling, in nfl they drive right through the player, they need protection
much like rugby would suffer(mobility/skillwise) from padding, so would nfl suffer from no padding (2-3deaths per match plus disabilities)

I enjoy both sports. Rugby is brutal, so is football(i'm not a yank, but i'll call it that for the sake of this thread), less dangerous thanks to the pads, but still dangerous.
I view football as a very tactical game (maybe overly), you can't say it's not.
I know which i'd feel safer playing. Facing a mid-sized guy say 6'4" 270lbs coming straight at me. Would i rather have a virtual suit of armour on that i know offers a good degree of protection, or just a gumshield. Hmmm

and football has strategy, plays, actual thought out execution. and positions, which require skill, such as lineman, which your clip showed a defensive lineman recovering and running with, which rarely happens because we have skill players for that, such as corners, safety's. he was out of breath because he a average player, is bigger than any player in rugby. also there is a difference between speed, and quickness. football has both, thus the separation of skill positions. rugby has quickness.
while rugby is like watching a soccer game. constantly losing possession, back and forth, scrums,? wtf is that? pretending to somehow gain possession of the ball instead of having a rule for it? why not just have a jump ball like basketball? would save allot of time and nonsense hugging between the players

Different sports. NFL is high impact but lesser on the longer term fitness.
As for Rugby players being so fit, the game Fucking stops every 2 minutes for a penalty. They gain ground just to kick a goal.
Cut the penalty's down, cut the penalty goals to 2 points, make the game consistent and then see how there fitness is. Oh wait there is a game like that :P
