Ella was beautiful within and had the voice of an Angel of the Lord. Karen was cute with an equally angelic voice. There are many more female vocalists I enjoy but most are long gone. June Christy. Carmen McRae. Nancy Wilson (not the lady from "Heart" but the Jazz vocalist!). Chris Connor. Sarah Vaughn (Sassy!). I could go on but there is no point, LOL! With music I prefer to say that I do not live in the past but derive much from it. In many ways, the Greatest Generation really was.

Computers killed real singers. Now a shit ass ho can have her voice doctored to sound like she is operatic. I sat in a recording session for a rock musician I know. They were using software called autotune to fix his voice for an album they were recording. it was unreal- and this guy had a great voice to begin with!
