I never respect weight loss - the fuckers overindulged for years and now get props for no longer indulging? Nope.
I kind of feel that way too. People who display discipline and good eating habits for years are unremarkable, but we are suppose to fawn and celebrate and cheer for the fat person who finally starts to do what we’ve been doing all along. Really?
It reminds me of the addict (alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc) who keeps bringing up the fact that they are in recovery or recovered—especially when no one asked. They seem to want special attention of some sort. Newsflash: no one cares about your personal baggage; keep it to yourself.
