The politics of it sounded good in the news. The reality is that none of them had any real intention of having congress pass laws that require all pro sports to drug test in some uniform fashion, so it ended up as witch hunt. Plus, steroid laws are about 197th on the list of key issues for voting for pres/vp.

at least obama said congress has better things to do than worry about steroid use in sports or otherwise.
