Young Mitt used the uniform and a flashing police light on his car to pull over students from a nearby girls school. I guess when you’re a young boy, it’s a lot easier to talk to girls if they’re terrified. Between impersonating a cop and bullying the gay kid, Mitt had an interesting adolescence. We all do things when we were young that people might find distasteful. How many of us do things that people would find downright creepy?
In prep school, Mitt liked to pretend to be a cop. But when he was draft age, he refused to take part in the “police action” in Vietnam. Mitt got four draft “deferments” in all. As we’ve seen in the case of Dick Cheney, when you string enough deferments in a row, it stops being a case of deferring something, and becomes a case of permanent avoidance.
Wisconsin may have blown the recall, but now others are blowing Wisconsin out of proportion. This wasn’t a case of an election being won. It was a case of an election being purchased. Besides, a lot of Wisconsinites just didn’t like the idea of recalling a sitting governor. I guess there attitude was that Scott Walker was mistake they made, and now they have to live with it.
The conservatives in Wisconsin were successful at turning the middle class against itself. While conservatives accuse Democrats of stirring up class warfare, the conservatives are stirring up class civil warfare. First they deny decent wages and benefits to non-union workers—that’s the “divide” part of “divide and conquer”—and then they vilify the union workers who have those things. It’s more like “divide and let them conquer each other.”
On the same day that Wisconsin failed to stop Scott Walker’s anti-union agenda, cities in California voted to cut pension benefits for city workers. The conservatives say that we can’t afford to pay for the pensions. But the excuse “we can’t afford it” never seems to come up when we’re talking about paying for tax cuts. Or for wars.

Because they know Romney is a time bomb waiting to blow that will give Obama a second term on a platter.

Odd, whenever I see Rick Scott, I too feel an overwhelming desire to purge. The Department of Justice has told Florida that its purge of voters is illegal. Scott said that the Department of Justice doesn’t understand the laws it is trying to enforce. Rick Scott does have a lot of experience with the law—but most of that experience is in breaking the law. It seems clear that Rick Scott is determined to stand his ground. And that’s never a good thing in Florida. There’s a reason that Florida is dangling partially outside of the United States. Neither side really wants Florida all the way in.
Mitt Romney is saying that President Obama intentionally slowed down economic recovery in order to pass Obamacare. Get real, Mitt. If Obama was intentionally sabotaging the economy, he would have been working hand in hand with Congressional Republicans. Besides, President Obama was perfectly able to simultaneously work to improve healthcare while working to fix the economy… just like Republicans were perfectly able to simultaneously try to prevent both of those things.
Well, Rush Limbaugh has weighed in on the subject of pensions. He’s against having a pension—because he doesn’t have one. Gee Rush, does that mean you’re also against having a conscience? Can Rush possibly be this stupid? Or does he just have to pretend to be as absolutely clueless as his audience? Rush doesn’t like pensions. He’s against what he calls “this notion that you’re going to be paid for life for something you quit doing thirty years ago.” What are you saying, Rush? That civil servants should keep on having to work into their old age? Even if that’s OK with them, I don’t want the cops patrolling my neighborhood to be 80 years old... driving around in a police cruiser at 10 miles per hour with the turn signal always blinking.
The list of bath-salts-related zombie-cannibal incidents keeps growing. Thank God we didn’t have these kinds of drugs in the 1960’s. If people were becoming flesh-eating zombies, it would have made Woodstock an entirely different experience. Though, honestly, it might have made for a better movie.

I didn't write this but it says it best about Obama. A system of government where the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed , are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

one must take in to account a proper population growth of working age citizins to get a correct analysis of all this
you need to know how many people turn 18 years old per day or per week or per month (whatever stat you choose)
we can call that (new available work force)
we must also take into account how many people die per day and subtract that amount from the work force
so if obama claims that weve created x amount of jobs we need to weigh that agains the AVAILABLE WORK FORCE AWF to see if the numbers are grim or great
the reason i made this thread is because its non sensicle on the news when they talk about x jobs being created. if 30,000 jobs were created but 70,000 people of legal age entered the workforce per week is that really good or bad?
