If you check Kai's earlier pics---2006 and before, his biceps have always looked like that.
That being said, his arms are bigger than Phil's and he has better peaks.

I was just about to say that "10yrs ago, we never would've seen a physique like this".. but then I realized it's 2014, and 10yrs ago would be 2004, and we had Ronnie, 1yr off of displaying a physique that will likely never been replicated.
then, I was gonna say "20yrs ago...", but then that's 1994, and we had Dorian who 1 yr later changed the game..
that being said... that's not bad company to be in.
in terms of height/weight/bf.. and 'shape/development', Kai is up there with the best of the best... just remains to be seen if he can nail the conditioning on contest day, as we've all seen with guys like Flex, Nasser, Dennis James, ect... you can be freaky big and lean and dry enough at 16wks out to sweep 1st's at an NPC national show, but on the Mr O stage, it won't matter if the 'other guy' is dryer... even if the 2nd place finisher would mop the floor with him the other 364days of the year.

Kai has to play size game, 2012 was aesthetic/condition game and he lost, 2013 was mass game but he was watery so he lost, 2014 is going to be fucking mass game with hardcore conditioning and he will destroy philsulin.

because in 2014, calves and forearms are inconsequential.
maybe back in 1980 when 'proportions' were still judge-able, forearms may've been a dealbreaker for a top 1,2, or 3 finnish, but not now.. not when guys legs are as large as their waists and when guys carry as much muscle one just one side of their back as guys did on their entire backs in the 80's (or 50's or 60's ect).
now, it's freaky size of the freaky bodyparts (back, legs, arms, ect...) combined with freaky conditioning.
dorian was missing his biceps, yet he had great forearms, and he still took the Mr O... Ronnie and Dex had no calves and took the O.. jay had no.. i dunno... bbing isn't what it used to be.

Lets be real guys kai has mass and massive bodyparts I will agree but he looks weird like the bodyparts are not properly put together, say what you want about phil but he blows kai away with shape and aesthetics as long as phil comes in decent condition kai does not have a chance.

he fits all the criteria for todays bbing,and is freakier than phil,his biceps and I've seen pics pre blownup version he has peaked but short insertions by nature .there is a lot of oil making up that gap previously there,his arms are freaky yes .
