That video is bullshit. Food stamps don't stimulate. Government spending just takes money out of one pocket and puts it into another.

You can't sell them anymore.  They are now on credit card type things

your mom.

likely, because African Americans use 26% of the food stamps but only make up 12% of the population. So it's statistically assumable.

You can buy food and resell it to others at a discount. College kids do it a lot.

you're very correct, at least here in CT. I remember back in 06 when I first moved back from NYC no job and newborn I was on assistance. First time I went to the office, mostly white recipients. All nails done, hair done, expensive kicks. Thank god I was only on it for 3 months. Not knocking the system but so glad I don't have to do that anymore.

I was On/off food stamps for about two years. Ate good. Food stamps arent just for INNER CITY low income families/people. Its for anyone who has very little to no income. People have a right to have food which is an necessity of life. And yes, there are people who abuse it by doing nothing with it besides trading it for drugs/money. People are too " PROUD " too have to ask for Government help..........Pfff. Too " proud " too even have one of the main neccessities of life.

In present day, I think this is correct. Alot more families are in the same boat. I was listening to news radio show this am..He's an accountant, wife laid off, 3 kids, parents were skipping meals to make mortgage payment, etc..

And thats Where FOOD STAMP BENEFITS need to come in.........but again, people are " too proud ". Im white and from the Western Brady Bunch Suburbs of Chicago and like i said, was on/off food stamps for 2 years AND i also bought HEALTHY food 95% of the time. I remember i was at the check out line, and the Cashier even told me......." Out of all the people i see use Food stamps, your one of the very few who actually buy healthy food ".

I too was on them for a short period of time, 3 months when I first moved up here from nyc. It was a tough pill to swallow, I bought mostly produce and meat with them (most expensive). Past few months times were tough being only part time work and was on the verge to go back on them but luckily I got a great new job.
