I doubt Jon even knows what a logical fallacy or circular reasoning is, and how his reasoning begs the question "Who created God" and the never-ending complexity in who created the creator of God and so on.  Sadly Jon fails to see how his commitment to the truth of his religious doctrines may prevent him from seeing that he is assuming the truth of what he is attempting to prove.

The Ultimate Boeing 747 gambit is a counter-argument to the argument from design. The argument from design claims that a complex or ordered structure must be designed. However, a god that is responsible for the creation of a universe would be at least as complicated as the universe that it creates. Therefore, it too must require a designer. And its designer would require a designer also, ad infinitum. The argument for the existence of god is then a logical fallacy.

There is NO circular reasoning here. God created all things and the buck stops with God. Nobody created God. How could anyone have created the Creator? There's just the Creator and the creation. As for God's origin, He always was. That's why He is God. He had no beginning nor will He have an end; He is the Apha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. That's just the way it is because there MUST have been an eternal God in order for anything to have been created. Your so-called never-ending complexity is simple enough for even a chimpanzee to resolve. Understand?
