Gossip & Opinions / Re: Taking creatine while cutting ?

Gives me the shits. With the holding water and cramping, it's not worth the small gains for me anyway.

I've heard this from several people, but imo they are very neurotic people. Like you could take one gram after 3 meals of the day and be fine and still get the performance benefits over time. But some people are so neurotic if they don't shit normally ONCE they immediately abandon the supp, a guy at my work was like this.

Regarding the water retention, some say there was none with Kre-Alkalyn and others, but the thing is Kre-Alkalyn is adviced to be taken at just 3 grams a day, and it is just creatine monohydrate with soda ash. You could just take regular creatine with a little sodium bicarbonate if you think that helps, or just take less!

My 2 cents on creatine. It's the only supplement that I felt really had a muscle building benefit. I was stronger on it and had better pumps. Also thought I was retaining a little water using it.

Having said that my kidney tests came back bad when I was using it. Doc told me to go off it and my kidney tests came back perfect. Was the high Creatinine levels due to muscle breakdown from lifting hard; kidneys failing or the supplement converting from creatine to creatinine?

Creatine is the most studied supp over aabout 30 years, if it was detrimental for kidneys they would have found out by now. Some do say creatine is converted to creatinine but some studies say no.

I'm pretty certain it's safe, if you are in kidney failure don't take it perhaps but even there it may be that it actually helps, I don't know. It may be like protein and anabolics, at a certain point in the disease progression they may actually help e.g. nandrolone reduces muscle catabolism in dialysis patients, and some say these need a bit extra protein too as the uptake is worse.

Milos has recommended 100 grams of creatine a day to his trainees  ;D

He was then rushed to General Hospital and was operated on by aspiring actors who also happen to play doctors.
His character "Brando" on General Hospital was killed on the show last year. Don't ask me how I know this. :-[

Talking of MTG - someone told me there's a pic of someone who looks at bit like her in current last page of the Sex Board Random Pic thread

Be careful though, it's extremely NSFW - I'm talking double-pink-barrelled shotgun at close-up range - er... so I've been told by that person
Looks just like her.
