I am a massive Rachel Mclish fan, she's one of the ones who got me started lifting. She still looks great for her age.

And it needs to move onward and upward. You remember how huge the first portable phones were? Well female bodybuilders were that small...Now we are bigger, leaner and better defined. I have prided myself on trying to be the clone of Bev Francis. I have achieved that. Woman power!!!

She looks beyond nice there. That photo shoot she did for Flex a few years back, was outstanding. She was quite up there in age and looked unreal.

On that note: It was great to see Jodi Miller cross into bodybuilding, showing how it's done. Hope she will be rewarded for it.

Mass with class...I like that phrase.  I love Rachel McLish's look, and as I prepare for Team Universe this year, I keep my own standards, which have been fashioned after women like Rachel McLish and Sharon Bruneau amongst others, at the forefront of my physique goals for this show.

Hedge, crossing back over to bodybuilding was the best decision I could have ever made...for my physique and for my sanity.  I've just begun my diet for Team Universe in July, and if I was having to step on the figure stage again, I don't think I would have had enough mental motivation to carry me through these next 11 weeks.  I hope more figure girls cross over to bodybuilding and bring back the "retro" look.

Agree. The rampant drug abuse of some female bodybuilders has greatly hindered growth IMO. I would like to see a return to more feminine physiques.
