Instead of a better console, I would rather have better games.  Borderlands 2 was the last great game I played.  The last Gears of War was fun for 5 minutes.  BioShock Infinity I played and took back the same day.  Dead Island Riptide was fun to start with, but the game is designed for co-op play.  You simply can't make it through on your own without having a nervous breakdown.  And of course if you join a co-op it is full of nerdy kids using modded weapons to ruin the play.

There is a new FPS game coming out tomorrow.  Metro or something like that.  I have to check it out.

i sometimes used to still see the figures still moving in front of my eyes for a while after a long session on a video game a was particularly good at. this was back in the good old arcade days of course

I`ve read that game developers aren`t quite ready to use the technology in either platform yet and aren`t really sure what to do with it. 

This is common to a point with new hardware.....it takes awhile for the developers to really reach the console's limits.

Playstation network was free and it behaved that way.  They got wiped out online.

Also, a year of Live was routinely 35-40, about 3.50 a month.
