I never understood rugby.   the injuries these dudes must face for a lifetime... look way worse than NFL football, with pads and all that.  I guess it's more manly and all, more fun to watch.

they dont have 6 inches of padding on.

It is a different sport.

If rugby tackles would be the same as in NFL there would not be any players left.
Players get concussions with knees to the helmets. What about without a helmet?
220lbs sprinter whacks a knee to somebodys temple and thats the end of that.

Blood makes rugby look more violent.
