Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Friday the government could not consider easing lockdown restrictions with infection rates at their current high levels, and until it is confident the vaccination programme is working.

Lockdowns don't work. If an individual wants to lock down then let that person do it. In the US they are politically motivated with questionable statistic manipulation.  The worst lockdowns were in Democrat states with numerous examples of top Democrat politicians ignoring their own rules for the masses. Now that Biden is in Michigan, Illinois, NY and California are all talking about opening.  The draconian shutdowns had two goals. One was to destroy Trump's amazing economy. The second was to come up with changing voting with mail in ballots into democrat approved computers.  See you can wait in line to buy groceries but standing in a line to vote was too dangerous.  Requesting an absentee ballot wasn't an option. Everyone had to have a mail in ballot in blue states.

I would say this total lockdown and the fear pump of the "NEW STRAIN OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is in response to growing major social unrest, protests and civil disobedience. Put the cap on it before it explodes.

My lockdown ended in June. Sold a home and bought a new one, traveled, been to dozens of restaurants, lifting in the gym maskless since July. Living life here in FLA. Ignore the Libtards and go about your life. Keep a stash of guns and ammo always. Try and take my gun, dare a “Govt. official to do so, you’ll get shot in the face. Come and try. the statute for mask wearing expires on the 22nd July, it was a 1 year term law, they can of course extend it
