Luke here... was thinking, if I end up in Belfast one of these days maybe we could train together? Though I'll spring for a couple of day-passes to a better equipped gym, that place looks like one of the inner city Dublin dives I used to train in.

I've got a shitty little camcorder (the worse for wear after many a cold wet night of monster hunting), we could set it up and verify all our lifts. Imagine it, GetBiggers actually verifying their claims.... cool.

The USA or Sweden blue plates usually weigh 20kg (44lbs) yellow 15kg, black\green 10kg, and red 25kg. But the thing about that video that is strange is how dam skinny that bar is - that bar deffinately doesn't weigh 45lbs - just look how thin it is - and those grey plates look like they were made to fit that type of bar. But besides all that dude is big as hell, and must have a heavy bench to be competing.

yeah maybe but even if the bar or plates are a little light the weight is still probably 310 or so, it's not off by much, Goudy is very impressive.

luke taht woul;d not be a problem. i was at the hercules club for the nationals a few weeks ago and yes it is a dive but cool. my gym is awesome. dont bother goin for a better gym. arnie trainined in mine!!!

It appears that i have caused confusion that weight is around 300lbs. the green metal ones are 50lb each. the blue ones are fixed to the bar at a set weight of around 50kg and yes it is slightly less than 315. probaly closer to 300. though i did not intend to lie about my lifts. i never have.

those plates are weid and made at the titanic shipyard. many are in lbs and many in kg. even the bar is weird. shorter than olympic bar smoother, no nurling at all and thicker. no give at all. see if you can deadlift 500 in this gym with this bar you will double and probaly triple it with an oly bar. just spring and give.
