The Olympia was set up to allow the top guys to have a contest where they can compete against the other top guys. If Lee Priest wins top shows in other organizations then he should qualify. Seems to me the current pro guys have long lost the plot about what the Olympia and other pro shows should be. The independent contractors have to sign contracts. Nice one, IFBB.

I vote we can the pro organization and give Manion a lifetime achievement award and then retire him along with Ben and Joe. Obviously that means there will be no gift job for Bob Chick.

The IFBB does not forbid Lee to work elsewhere...nor can they dictate what he does or does not do to earn a living.

He has no "conditions" for reinstatement...I can only stress that whatever his actions are may reflect on heir willingness to allow him back in...should he want back in.

No...he has lost substancial sponsorship because those are some of the perks that come with being in the IFBB....sponsors want a guy in the IFBB because the exposure and ROI is much greator han if he was in a lesser known organization

They know the crap that goes on in the IFBB. The rules are used to control people and little else. They used the rule about not competing in other organizations to kick Sergio out of the Olympia for several years. If you go back to 1970 you will see that Arnold and Sergio competed in the NABBA Universe but both were allowed to compete in the Mr Olympia that year. When Sergio enterred Dan Lurie contests he was suspended so he couldn't compete in 1971 and after 1972. The 72 result was not something the IFBB should be proud of.

In the old days we all knew Joe Weider and Bob Hoffman were bigheaded, pompous publishers and trainers of champions. Bob was the good guy and Joe the bad guy. How times have changed. That former power struggle for control evolved into the ridiculous IFBB professionalism. This is hardly progress. You have three groups competing for the bodybuilders. Publishers, promoters and sponsors. It very much looks like the IFBB is in bed with all three. The hapless bodybuilders have to present with cap in hand and even bow down to THEIR athlete rep! What a travesty bodybuilding has become because of the IFBB.
