Naw I don't doubt this dudes story but yeah in my experience of the 24 hr fitnesses ive been to they don't give a shit what you do. Their job is work the front desk and rerack people's weights.  

exactly, maybe in a Super Sport they might care, but otherwise no. I routinely use duct tape, chalk, carry my gym bag, film heavy sets and I've never had anyone complain.. even the managers walk by and don't care.

it wasn't them really, it was a dude who had a problem with it, and wanted to be the "gym police". Had "alpha male" handled that situation differently...there would be no video.
