There is no such thing as physical perfection... because it's all in the eye of the beholder, and everyone has their own preferences. Men and women alike. ;) Women, like men, should try to achieve the kind of body that makes them happy, not someone else. You can always find someone who's going to like who you are. :)

You guys aren't saying anything new and are not as threating as you would like to think.
Every lady on this board knows what the majority of the men out there want. The ladies here who go to the extremes and compete are doing more for themselves at that point then for the men, or even to show up the other bitches. Could I "up" it a notch and train to compete? Probabley not, I don't have the will power, drive, or commitment so I do respect their efforts just as much as they do themselves.
On the other hand, being hard and cut would drastically affect my income.
But then again everybody here knows that already.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is a whole legion of Schmoes out there that love women that have 10yr-old boy bodies or that look like the 1999 version Ronnie Coleman. If they don't mind exclusively attracting the schmoe type, more power to them...

The thing is, this is a board for women who like to keep in shape. Some are heavy into bodybuilding, others less so, but still have an interest in training. Not all men love that huge assed look, in fact, there are many who like sleek, well-shaped women with perky boobies and some definition. It's all a matter of personal opinion. To me, there's nothing more sensuous than two people who are in really good shape loving on each other.
There are lots of women who prefer the skier, lanky type of body, rather than the hugely muscled look. But you won't find women bopping around the boards here telling men they should look like that on a bodybuilding site.
Squadfather has particular tastes. He likes them large everywhere... guess it's a good thing he lives in the States. Plenty pickins. :-\ And the funny thing is... most of those women who are so "zaftig" when they're young look like complete hell by the time they're 35 -40 and squadfather would be the first to laugh his guts out at that. :P

As a fitness competitor, I beg to differ. Being able to do the splits and other aspects of extreme flexibility could in fact be useful if one considers the dynamics :D

From what you and Mindspin are saying there is only one type of female physical perfection, and it's based on your own personal preferences. I know two huge, enormous guys who are with the teeniest, tiny petite women... you would think if he ever rolls over on her, she's dead. But that's what they like. I know cyclists who are with women who also cycle so of course, they're thin and ripped. But they share some interest and that's part of why they're together. There are all kinds of women in the world. Are all the ones who don't have huge asses and big boobs supposed to kill themselves? ;D

Shallow comment! Do you really think that only thin fit women are good in bed? Just because a women is ripped, very flexible or has less than 30% BF does not mean she is a sex goddess. It takes more than that to get that "born again in heaven" effect! Maybe you should take a poll from the men of get big to see who they would choose first! (I say first because I don't think any would kick either out of bed but they would definetly say who would get done first lol.) You give guys way too much credit for being choosy!

I'm not one to rip on another woman because of appearance, ...but yes, she did strike me as extremely flabby, ...but hey, that's your taste, ...more power to you. When you are distracted by belly rolls when a person moves, ...then in my opinion, there needs to be considerably more tone. She did have a pretty complexion tho. chubby girls often do. :D I wouldn't look like that if you paid me. her appearance doesn't in any way appeal to my sense of aesthetics, ...and the way she carried herself... even less so (but I couldn't expect more considering it was "Bang Bros" video) No real surprises there. But again, ...just my opinion.

You make a good point, this place is burka city. It's kind of funny how they hide from us even though they have the burka on...I think some GI was spreading rumors that our night vision can see through their clothes.

Anna Nicole was nice and thick while she kept her weight under control.
I've also seen her when it was overflowing all over the place.
I like thick women, but there's a fine line.
She was a beautiful woman, but absolutely nothing upstairs to speak of.

Women tend to have an ideal presentation in their minds about what they should look like, I just find it funny that they never bother to ask men what they like.
Most of the fashion industry is run by queens. Why else would the models be dieted down to look like 12yr old boys? Straight men in charge of fashion would end a lot of eating disorders, LOL!

First of all, you have to admit that starting a thread in the women's area of a BODYBUILDING site about physical perfection, with that particular illustration, (as so vividly described by Jags... I could just picture her :P) is going to get the same kind of reaction as when Jehovah Witnessess appear at your door on a Saturday morning.
Secondly, the fashion industry is actually owned by very wealthy heterosexual men. Runway models are rail thin because they're supposed to be walking clotheshangers. You aren't supposed to be oogling them... they're just selling the garment. You're supposed to be watching the $60,000.00 dress on their backs and sign a check after the show.
In my first post, I said people should try to attain the kind of bodies that make THEM happy... whatever it is, large, thin, fat, muscular... I stand by that. Whenever you "change" for someone else, you just cultivate inner unhappiness. Don't you at least agree with that? Would you change your physical appearance because some women on a website said they prefer a certain bodytype?
I know what Squadfather likes (although he seems willing to compromise a little :D) because I see what you guys post... and post...and post. :-X And sure, those untoned, thick, huge-assed, big-boobed women look great splayed on a bed looking back over their shoulders at the camera with pouty expressions... but in everyday life, that's no more a "real" depiction of what women are than the opposite extreme of the runway model. A woman with an enormous butt jiggling away in a saddle looks about as appealing as a two day old Szechwan dish. (Ask Toxie about the sniggers you'll hear from men when one of them cantors by.) Same goes for the untoned, wide-loaded woman squeezing into diving gear. You don't often see these women leading the way up a particularly difficult hiking trail... that's because many of them don't do anything physical. Now where's the joy in life in that? Sex takes what, 6-12 hours a week average... what do these women do the rest of the time?
My point was only that there are all different kinds of women... petite, tall, lanky, ripped, muscular, soft, fleshy, etc... seems to me all kinds of women are finding lust and love in their lives... not just the huge-assed, big-boobed odelisk types. There is no one physical ideal. There are some guys even on this thread who said they prefer other types of women. And from my own experience, I would have to say, yes, we're doing just fine. ;)
PS... Div is right. These women who do nothing with themselves at 20, do end up looking not so great at 35. What was someone's answer? That's when you trade them in? Lol.

You put women draped across the hood, so men of all ages will think to themselves "if I buy that car, that's what I'll have." Put an old guy behind the wheel and the 26-year-old will believe it's a car for the middle-aged, and vice versa.* If you have a specific demographic in mind, THEN you put those people representing your market in your ads. Same logic applies. Put a certain bodytype in a dress, and the women who don't look like that will not envision themselves wearing it. Put it on a shapeless, walking skeleton that doesn't represent anything real, and all kinds of women, large, small, etc... can see themselves in it, and will buy it.
* data also appears to indicate that if you are trying to sell a car to the middle-aged guy, you're still better off putting a young guy in the picture, since old guys don't seem to want to buy cars that are marketed toward them. Seems to me like that's the same deal as the fashion runway model thing.

Sure, SF's post may seem out of context but you all should consider it a public service. He's letting you all know that the 'rules' of attractiveness are far more liberal from a man's point of view and that women should obcess less on finding ways to be unhappy with themselves. Whatever issues that stop people from being happy aren't necessarily related to physical appearance. I'd bet that thick girl from the video is a lot happier than the average diet-starved, fitness-chick wannabee. Probably has men tripping over themselves to hang out with her and is probably very comfortable with her appearance.

Sure, SF's post may seem out of context but you all should consider it a public service. He's letting you all know that the 'rules' of attractiveness are far more liberal from a man's point of view and that women should obcess less on finding ways to be unhappy with themselves. Whatever issues that stop people from being happy aren't necessarily related to physical appearance. I'd bet that thick girl from the video is a lot happier than the average diet-starved, fitness-chick wannabee. Probably has men tripping over themselves to hang out with her and is probably very comfortable with her appearance.

A lot of girls/women look at those rags and think "I have to look like that so men will find me attractive". First of all, you have to admit that starting a thread in the women's area of a BODYBUILDING site about physical perfection, with that particular illustration, (as so vividly described by Jags... I could just picture her :P) is going to get the same kind of reaction as when Jehovah Witnessess appear at your door on a Saturday morning.
Secondly, the fashion industry is actually owned by very wealthy heterosexual men. Runway models are rail thin because they're supposed to be walking clotheshangers. You aren't supposed to be oogling them... they're just selling the garment. You're supposed to be watching the $60,000.00 dress on their backs and sign a check after the show.
In my first post, I said people should try to attain the kind of bodies that make THEM happy... whatever it is, large, thin, fat, muscular... I stand by that. Whenever you "change" for someone else, you just cultivate inner unhappiness. Don't you at least agree with that? Would you change your physical appearance because some women on a website said they prefer a certain bodytype?
I know what Squadfather likes (although he seems willing to compromise a little :D) because I see what you guys post... and post...and post. :-X And sure, those untoned, thick, huge-assed, big-boobed women look great splayed on a bed looking back over their shoulders at the camera with pouty expressions... but in everyday life, that's no more a "real" depiction of what women are than the opposite extreme of the runway model. A woman with an enormous butt jiggling away in a saddle looks about as appealing as a two day old Szechwan dish. (Ask Toxie about the sniggers you'll hear from men when one of them cantors by.) Same goes for the untoned, wide-loaded woman squeezing into diving gear. You don't often see these women leading the way up a particularly difficult hiking trail... that's because many of them don't do anything physical. Now where's the joy in life in that? Sex takes what, 6-12 hours a week average... what do these women do the rest of the time?
My point was only that there are all different kinds of women... petite, tall, lanky, ripped, muscular, soft, fleshy, etc... seems to me all kinds of women are finding lust and love in their lives... not just the huge-assed, big-boobed odelisk types. There is no one physical ideal. There are some guys even on this thread who said they prefer other types of women. And from my own experience, I would have to say, yes, we're doing just fine. ;)
PS... Div is right. These women who do nothing with themselves at 20, do end up looking not so great at 35. What was someone's answer? That's when you trade them in? Lol.

Quick lesson: If you want to sell a car across all male demographics, you don't put men in your ad campaigns. You put women draped across the hood, so men of all ages will think to themselves "if I buy that car, that's what I'll have." Put an old guy behind the wheel and the 26-year-old will believe it's a car for the middle-aged, and vice versa.* If you have a specific demographic in mind, THEN you put those people representing your market in your ads. Same logic applies. Put a certain bodytype in a dress, and the women who don't look like that will not envision themselves wearing it. Put it on a shapeless, walking skeleton that doesn't represent anything real, and all kinds of women, large, small, etc... can see themselves in it, and will buy it.
