Eddie had to deal with this type of crap everyday from Roth.  Just imagine how annoying that would be.  That's the main reason why they got rid of him.

Roth is a co-songwriter of "Unchained" so he can sing it.  He wrote the lyrics for many of their hits.

The original Van Halen was a great band.

Eddie, Alex, and Roth are all ego-maniacs so they can't get along.

They had a synergy together and were never the same after they split.  Too bad.

Saw them in 1984.

Great interview,Roth has always been a mix of circus,Vegas,camp with stage persona ,I loved Roth era vh on record,live you never knew what you were going to get but it was always entertaining.i saw both versions live.one of my favorite bands

Yup. I actually met Dave in the early eighties after Van Halen. Had to serve him legal papers before a show at the Miami arena. He was cool as hell and was high, smelled like reefer. Gave me 4 tickets to the show.
