Sometimes I wish my gym had a 'fat' bar..i think wrist curls are only worth it with a fat bar..dont get me wrong, of course you can do them with a regular bar but for me personaly hurts my wrists going all the way down.

Definitely.
That's why I made my own wrist-roller with a much thicker handle.

yes but now you can get sleeves to put on a bar too make it a FAT bar.

Yes! They're not cheap, but I've only read positive feedback about them. I believe there are at least two companies making a version now.

If you're concerned with forearms or grip strength go to the Ironmind site and check out the incredible amount of apparatus devoted to it. http://www.ironmind.com/

Wrist curls and wrist extensions really don't increase grip strength but effects the stability of your hand. The hand moves in so many directions and lot of different movements can be used. It would be a really big list concerning that topic alone. Good luck.

Been using one of these for 2 years, once a week. I have gotten good results from it and it's less than $20

That's exactly the same kind I originally bought. There must be a company that makes them and sells them to other entities who then put their name/logo on it. Mine was sold by Gold's Gym with their name printed on the foam sleeves. I bought it at Dick's about ten years ago.

The one I later made resembles this, but with much thicker handles.
