Came across this just now, was reading another thread and did a search for sergio on youtube....I know it's not great quality but look at f'n Nubret.....God Damn, how that guy never won an olympia is beyond me. Contrast his condition with Franco at the 81 olympia...Serge just buries him.

IMO Sergio needed to replicate his conditioning of the 72MrO, its a pity he had one of the greatest structures of any BB.

Yet more proof of the BS going on behind the scenes, the quality IFBB judging that this jackass keeps claiming is good.
Those guys were all out of the IFBB thanks to Weider. Nubret, Oliva, Fox and Szkalak all better than most or all of the Olympia winners of the day.

Its a video from the 81 Pro World Cup,Robby placed 3rd in that show behind Serge and Sergio.And keep in mind that it was a WABBA contest and the man who ran WABBA and promoted the contest was Serge Nubret.

it wasn't "the norm" to be ripped back then, when sergio was in his prime. Zane kinda started the whole get ripped fad and gaspari just blew it wide open. Sergio was so damn big his size more than made up for his lack of conditioning.

well.... that's why sergio lost to arnold... arnold was every bit as big as sergio but better conditioned.
