Assistant District Attorney Jason Mohan said yesterday investigators who searched Titus’ truck after he was arrested found $8,300 hidden in an aerosol can with a false bottom.

But George argued that wasn’t enough money to get the couple out of the country.

‘‘The $8,300 was it,’’ he said. ‘‘There’s nothing (in Massachusetts) to liquidate.’’

Tre have you ever traveled out of the US ?
$8300 is not shit, 2 people could not last a week on that, just plane tickets alone on such short notice would cost em $1500. Not to mention food, travel,lodge, hoping around cost alot alot of $$$

Yeah, I've traveled quite a bit, which is why I know that it's not that expensive to leave the country. They might not be staying at 5-star hotels in Europe, but assuming that flights were about $1000 apiece (which they could've charged), they would've had plenty to live on while working to establish new lives...assuming that was the goal.

Greece is hella cheap (relatively speaking to the rest of Europe). I went to France last year for a 8 days, $2300 for 2 people, and still did ok for lodging conditions... Even if they didn't have any immediate prospects they would be ok for a few weeks.

With $6000 cash in hand, they could go to a foreign country, find a place to rent for about $500/month, and then spend $10 on one of those "How to Eat Well in Europe for $20 a Day" books. They could've stayed over there for at least a few months before they'd even need to find work.

That's a strange assumption. Compared with jail something tells me they'd settle for much less. Accomodation with relatives in Athens or $2 a night tourist-friendly huts on the beaches of Thai islands.

Plus Tre were talking about non extradition countries last I checked no place in Europe was on that list bro. Once that money ran out what are Craig and Kellys trade skills,ones that can be worked with out being seen???
