FLEX editors are either absolutely clueless about www.musclehunks.com and www.musclegallery.com [ VERY unlikely as it's ' sister ' magazine MUSCLE & FITNESS has featured bodybuilders from these websites ] or are absolutely appreciative of the gay guys who own this site and the barriers they broke down about the display of male muscle on the internet.

It may be surprising, but it looks like FLEX & M&F don't give a damn about bodybuilders posing for gay oriented websites with very suggestive posing, and more than just that .

We actually don't go to any of those sites, so we aren't familiar with who has or has not been featured on them...I guess you could say we are clueless about it. That goes for both M&F and FLEX. On the other hand, it's also not our policy to pronounce judgement on someone for what they may or may not do with their personal/professional lives. Our job is to try and put out the best magazine we can featuring the top bodybuilders in the world...I believe Silvio now falls into that category.

Milos.......that may be. But, how come so many are done for blatant gay sites? Not flaming, serious question. I'm sure BayGM or Tim Fograty could go into more detail, as my knowledge is limited, but I know for a fact that places like Muscleweb (or whatever the site is called) features MANY pro bbers.

A bodybuilder being paid to do nudes would have to be pretty naïve to not know that the target audience is gay men.

regarding the websites most often mentioned here, musclegallery, muscleweb, musclehunks, and powermen, the first two are nudes with an occasional erection, while the later two are all j/o clips.

a certain national level amateur bodybuilder on musclehunks tried to explain it away as a one time mistake. then you go to the site, and see there are 5 different j/o clips of him, probably taken over a week. pretty long time before you regret.

The only way this would make sense is if he were the very first person to pose for a new web site and he had no idea what it was really about or whom they were targeting. By the time Silvio took his clothes off the tone of musclegallery was set and should have been well known. He did know... and he did it anyway.

Surely, you can see that he--but no. I would be a fool to think you might understand what only Doom can know. Bah!

These bodybuilders do know and they get paid for posing of course. They're working with gay men who are the owners, videographers & photographers. To say " I didn't know what I was doing " is laughable indeed. Another thing is you can't take gay out of the equation in bodybuilding, because there are some people who are gay in the industry, just like in all walks of life.

The proliferation of bodybuilders being displayed as sexy has been infinitely expanded with the internet. NPC & IFBB competitors are posing for websites owned by gay men , and as I pointed out, it doesn't seem to have hurt their mainstream exposure in bodybuilding magazines, or even the IFBB as you think.

Rob sager who died recently was in a couple porn movies, and at the same time , featured in MUSCLE & FITNESS and the other bodybuilding mags.

Oh, here's another gay website owned by gay men that competitors , like NPC National competitor , MARK ERPELDING, who is their featured model on one of their main pages. Erpelding not only posed for www.musclegallery.com, but is all over the internet as a bodybuilding model on gay websites. Check out:

Rob Sager won the NPC Aloha Classic recently, so wasn't really a top amateur bodybuilder, though he could have been. and he really wasn't a porn star, having only done a few (good) j/o videos, and two (really bad) suck videos. but he was a big celebrity (famous for being famous). but if he hadn't done the porn, he could have been the next Mike O'Hearn or Frank Sepe.

So true!

But the surprise is not who poses for these sites. Anyone can click their mouse and find out who is doing it. What most people don't know about are the undocumented private "transactions" that take place between BBs and generous fans when no camera is present. But hey, if private posing was good enough Eugene Sandow it's good enough for the current generation, right?

Whatever else I've said in this thread aside, Silvio has an awesome physique. His shape really reminds me of Ronnie Rockel. I'd love to see them side by side on stage.

no. he had a family history of heart problems, but wasn't giving it the attention it required. (the amount of fast food he ate certainly didn't help) He had been having heart palpitations the weeks before, and had a doctors appointment scheduled in a week or two, but just died in his sleep.
