To me issues like CRT and here today, gone tomorrow .
I was in education for over 30 years at different levels and they have a new "pet issue" every 2-3 years.

These issues get one side excited to back it and the other excited to ban it.
It's great fund raising fodder but ends up being a big, fat nothing.

It's not even an issue

It's a fabricated grievance because they couldn't find anything else to bitch about

It's taught in graduate school and law school

Republicans don't even know what it is ...but they know they're against it

I've done a lot of volunteer work in public schools for a long time.  There is a crises right under our noses.  For example, the majority of high school kids are not proficient in reading.  And the infuriating part of this for me is education is often one of the largest line items in a state budget, so it's not like they don't have the resources to fix this.
