I just watched this video in full. Conseco blew his finger off while cleaning his gun. Most accidents with a firearm happens while cleaning the firearm. And the guy in the video is absolutely right when it comes to the rules of safety except he didn’t mention one rule. Always handle your firearm as if it were loaded OR NOT.

In conseco case he didn’t make sure of one thing...making sure the firearm was clear before disassembling it. He might have had the ammo source (magazine) out of the gun but he sure as hell didn’t do a brass check or lock the slide to see if he one in the chamber. This is simply not knowing or if he did know, he flat out forgot. Either way, dumb on his part.
