I kinda did the same thing on Sunday night. Bought Magic Spoon because it was low carb and had cinnamon roll flavor. Ate for dessert after dinner.

I was joking with Grape about eating Grape Nuts.
But, I like Grape Nuts too although I don't eat cereal anymore.

Not if you keep your weight down.
Never heard of Lean Diabetes? You can be lean and active, and still develop type 2 diabetes. You can't outrun a bad diet.
"In the United States, recent studies showed that the lean, normal weight diabetes is not rare especially among minority populations."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4434081/
"The prevalence of lean diabetes among the U.S. adult population is increasing"

You said if you keep your weight down, you won't eat your way to diabetes.
Ask any obesity MD if patients with insulin resistance or prediabetes should eat frosted flakes daily for breakfast and dinner.

Why would I ask an obesity MD what someone thin should eat?

Skip the chicken and rice next time.

Because they see thousands of patients who got type 2 diabetes because of eating cereal and other refined carbs.
You said "No one" is getting diabetes because of eating cereal.

No one is getting diabetes because of eating cereal for breakfast unless they eat the whole box in one sitting. You do not need an extreme low carb diet to live long. Most old people live on a diet of cookies, candy, ice cream and donuts.

Who in this thread said anything about eating cereal just for breakfast? Who in this thread said anything about needing an extreme low carb diet to live long?
This thread is about Kellogg’s marketing breakfast cereal for dinner too, to people who can no longer afford real food. Low income people are already at a much higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, and more likely to manage it poorly.
Most old people live on a diet of cookies, candy, ice cream and donuts.
LOL...now you're just trolling. :D

Feed the drones cheap carbs.
300 to 400 grams a day is about right.

Morning is good time of day for it, really, because your body naturally raises your blood glucose at that time to give you energy to start the day.

1 serving of Fruit Loops is only 150 calories (before milk). You could eat them every meal and it would be a very low cal diet and you'd lose weight.

With milk, that's only 615 calories (mostly carbs) and 30g protein (only 24g bioavailable) per day. Yeah, you'd lose weight alright, along with muscle mass, bone density and suffer nutrient deficiencies.
And that's assuming you'd successfully resist the hunger and cravings that the 138g carbs (73g sugar) per day along with the very low-fat, very low-protein, very low-calories will induce, leading to binge eating more sugar.

Plus it has folic acid, which has recently had discussion around whether most humans can even convert it to its active form effectively.

You wouldn't get fat though. Short term it could be a good weight loss diet.

I wouldn't call that a good weight loss diet. But it's a good way to develop Lean Diabetes from all that constant sugar inflow, muscle loss and bone density loss from the very low protein and extreme calorie deficit, and hormonal imbalances from the very low fat.
Not to mention the artificial food dyes in fruit loops and other breakfast cereals which have been banned in many countries because of their association with neurological and behavioral issues in multiple studies.
And don't get me started on the industrially processed seed ("vegetable") hydrogenated oils found in fruit loops and many other breakfast cereals.
If I were low income today, I would eat sardines in water at around $1 per can and eggs at around $2 per dozen. Being poor in the US or any other developed country is no excuse to eat junk.

I thought you had a “finance” degree, gimmick. No, he’s not. That’s the fact. Meanwhile in California the minimum wage goes to $20hr in the fast food industry. Another way to kill businesses to make the economy worse

I've known many old people. Family, neighbors, church people, etc. Do you actually think people in their 80's and 90's are all eating steamed vegetables and skinless chicken breasts?

Then you should publish a peer reviewed study based on your very scientific observational data. Look around. There is an increasing worldwide epidemic of obesity and type 2 diabetes, including Lean Diabetes, even in countries like China and India. It's no longer First World problem.

Did I say old people never eat crap or that all old people eat healthily? What I wrote was that I am old, and I eat healthily... this is a lifestyle choice and not something that automatically happens as we age. I also eat considerably smaller portions than I did when I was younger and more active therefore burning more calories. I weigh the same today at 79 years of age as I did when I was in my late teens. My overall fat percentage is 10% and my visceral fat percentages is slightly lower than that.

Again, not talking about fat obese people. You can eat a low to medium calorie diet eating anything and not grow to obesity.

Eating This One Thing Regularly Is One of the Easiest Ways to Get Diabetes
https://parade.com/health/the-one-food-highly-correlated-with-diabetes-according-to-endocrinologists
The #1 Food That Causes Diabetes, According to Endocrinologists
All of the obesity specialists we spoke with unanimously agreed that ingesting refined sugar regularly can increase your chances of getting diabetes, a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces.
"The excessive consumption of sugary foods and beverages can lead to insulin resistance, a key factor in the development of diabetes," explains Dr. Maria Teresa Anton, MD, an endocrinologist and educator at Pritikin Longevity Center. "But cutting down on added sugars is a simple yet powerful step in managing diabetes risk," she says.
Dr. Rekha Kumar, MD, an endocrinologist and the Chief Medical Officer of Found agrees, especially when it comes to sugar-sweetened beverages like fruit juice and soda. "They are high in calories and sugar, often fructose, which is a version of sugar that leads to insulin resistance," she says, referring to the precursor state to diabetes.
While sipping sugary drinks every once in a while isn't the worst thing in the world for a moderately healthy individual, cracking open a can of Mountain Dew is not something you want to get into the habit of doing—especially if your family has a history of diabetes.
"Regularly indulging in sugary treats or high-carbohydrate foods can spike blood sugar levels, placing increased stress on the body's insulin response," says Dr. Anton, adding that moderation is key, as is being mindful of portion sizes. Measuring your food, drinking a large glass of water before meals and chewing slowly are a few helpful ways to stop overeating.
