studies showed that training to failure is the key and that rep range can be anywhere from 5 on the low end to 30 on the high end

AJ said 8-12 is best and King Zane and flex wheeler basically trained in that rep range

Mentzer was using 5-8

here's King Zane's push wo

Barbell bench press: 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 reps
70-degree incline dumbbell press*: 1 x 28 reps (mechanical drop set)
10-degree decline dumbbell flyes: 12, 10 reps, 8 reps
Cross bench dumbbell pullover: 12, 10, 8 reps
*10 reps, drop bench angle down, 8 reps, drop angle down, 6 reps, drop angle down, 4 reps to failure.

Close grip bench press: 12, 10, 8 reps
One-arm triceps overhead extensions: 12, 10, 8 reps
V-grip triceps pushdowns: 12, 10, 8 reps

Bent-over dumbbell lateral raise: 15, 12, 10 reps
Side cable raise: 12, 10, 8 reps
