Eat 500 calories a day less than your maintenance level this equates to 3500 cals a week and you will lose a pound of fat a week (a pound of fat =3500 cals)
If you want to lose 2lb its 1000 cals a day deficit, don't go any less (cals) than that or you will start sacrificing muscle.
Thats it guys, you can eat what you like it doesn't matter what ratio of protein/carbs/fat you want to eat.
-
Lo..not radical and way out enough?
-
I think we may have a Ronnie vs. Dorian situation here.

:o
That leaves around 7000-7500 calories unaccounted for. Nice try.
-
Eat no more than 25 grams of carbs per meal and you can eat a lot of protein and fat and still lose fat.
Insulin is a powerful hormone.
-
That'll work mate.. Only problem is that is it might be too hard for some to calculate lol.. Moderation diets require the dieter to have self control which is usually the problem in the first place (lack thereof).

- You may want to check the numbers....one pound of fat could contain anywhere between 2,843 and 3,752 calories.
- Funny thing with your calc....so, for a woman to lose 2lbs she has to have a 1,000 calorie deficit.
- So, if I eat 1% protein, 1% carb, and 98% fat...I will look the same as 60% protein, 20% carb, and 20% fat?
-
yeah, why not a pure calorie restriced diet with only canola oil or just beer.
;D
-
counting calories is a pain in the ass and not very manly.
-

Because you need around 10,000 calories to get lean.
-
do you think it makes big difference what calories come in as far as insulin release goes?
serious question
yes.

I prefer sticks of butter rolled in sugar and cinnamon. :D

Yes Twaddle, and then breaded and fried and then sprinkled with Confectioner`s Sugar. 10,000 calories has never been so easy!

You have difficult reading sometimes, it seems. No one ever said that.

???
No stupid, I am saying you can eat as much protein out of protein only foods as your body will allow you too and still get peeled because it won't be that much (caloric wise) anyways. Fuck you are one stupid kid.
Look; 5 pounds of chicken breast = 2200 calories
150 hard boiled egg whites = 2200 calories
:-*
SIMPLE- HOW TO GET CONTEST SHREDDED FOR ANYONE.
All these trainers and coaches make me sick acting like if it's some rocket science shit they are giving away, I have no problem with PT or coaches, they are good for motivation and guidance but where my problem lies is when they mislead their clients into thinking this shit is rocket science.
If you are on HRT or juice then listen up.
Unlimited foods from "protein only sources" + low carbs (green veg allowed) and 20-40 grams of healthy fats will get anyone into single digits.
Unlimited foods from "protein only sources" + No carbs (green veg and others allowed)+ 20-40 grams of healthy fats will get you to contest bodyfat levels.
Forget the calorie counting Bull Shit, forget the complicated dietary metabolism Bull Shit, forget the rocket science, all garbage, don't spend money on some expert trying to act like it is Calculus or physics. What I wrote above will get ANYONE from point A to point B (contest shape) period.
I will elaborate on a list of foods you can eat in part 2
EDIT; instructions on the use of ECA on no carb diet on page 3
EDIT: instruction on the proper use of carb days incorporated into a no carb diet on page 8
EDIT; THE LIST OF FOODS FROM PROTEIN ONLY SOURCES AND VEGETABLES ON PAGE 9

He says I can eat unlimited Protein so 10,000 calories a day of Whey Protein to get shredded certainly isn`t close to unlimited. Its only 10,000 calories. He agreed that it would work.

dude the pic u posted last yr at 47 was proof enough u looked good post the diet or meal breakdown or these threads to bait one time hard to respond,,,

So, if I eat 1% protein, 1% carb, and 98% fat...I will look the same as 60% protein, 20% carb, and 20% fat?
Nope, but you will lose fat at the same rate.
Thats why a balanced diet is important so you get the right nutritional value from varying food sources.
-
This diet is preposterous.
-
Explain why?
Try and stay away from "because it is", that response belongs to someone else.
-
Explain why?
Sounds like a bunch of poppycock to me.
-
lol, check my modification above your post.
At least you are original :D

Your methods are not extreme enough for me. Where are the whey isolate IV drips? The hard boiled egg suppositories? The recommended DNP/clen/t3 protocols?
Enough horsing around and tell us the secret to fat loss already.

;)

Nicely done krank, OTH couldnt do the maths himself or he would have chipped in.

"as much as your body will allow you to"
Again Adam, record yourself eating 10,000 cal worth of eggs or just shut up already. Itd be one thing if you actually did it but you won't do shit.
-
hahahahah ;D tito
-
Actually eating less calories and expending more calories through lifting/cardio is a proven way to lose fat. ;)
-
Thats it guys, you can eat what you like it doesn't matter what ratio of protein/carbs/fat you want to eat.
Again, this is your claim. With that, I can eat cheetos and doritos all day (never minding the orange hue my johnson will take) and I will look the same as I would if I ate steak and turkey for the same amount of calories?
Yes? Come on. Don't just say "that's correct". Give me proof.
-

Calories are calories regardless of the source.
By the way what would you accept as proof?

So, in one statement you say it doesnt matter the ratios, but now you come back and say you have to have a balanced diet. What is a balanced diet? The standard government one? The standard Muscle and Fitness balanced? The vegetarian balanced? The mathmetical balanced/isocaloric?
You are contradicting yourself.

What is moderate carbs to you?
Personally i feel fat loss is too slow unless i cut the carbs low, like around 100g per day.
Never tried keto though so can't comment on that.
-
So, in one statement you say it doesnt matter the ratios, but now you come back and say you have to have a balanced diet.
How is that a contradiction?
To lose weight it doesnt matter what combination you chose as long as you restrict calories but its better to eat a balanced diet.
I didnt say you "had" to do anything.
A balanced diet is what works best for you, its your balance to achieve.

Ambiguous balance. Interesting. By that comment you can not argue with OTH's advice of little to no carbs. Its his balance of those compenents thats makes "his" way work best for him and many, many others. You may stop arguing at this point.
Can you agree with these things:
1) He is NOT saying its the best/only, just one of the easiest/fastest
2) He is not saying that carbs are evil, just not needed
3) He is not saying "your" method doesn't work, just his experience (and that of many others) that it takes longer
4) You do not like the low carb approach and thus is the reason for arguing

Insulin is a powerful hormone.
Yup - that is what I have been doing since June and in down about 30lbs and feel great.
Eat steak, burgers, eggs, cheese, salads, greens, protein shakes, some oats for breaksfast, maybe a hi protein taco without the bullshit, and the fat is just melting off.
That and dumbbell circuit training has worked well too.
-

And by the same argument my ideal will work for me and many, many others.
It does also validate the point in both cases that either my or OTHs personal combination of carbs/protein/fats diet wont be ideal for many, many others as well.
Can you agree with these things:
1) He is NOT saying its the best/only, just one of the easiest/fastest
It isnt easier or faster just because its all protein, its just the same because its a reduction in calories.
2) He is not saying that carbs are evil, just not needed
Correct, but he has already admitted he knows nothing of the importance of carbs and their protein sparing qualities.
3) He is not saying "your" method doesn't work, just his experience (and that of many others) that it takes longer
Its because the initial weight loss when you drop carbs is water, I will say again and again its calorific intake that counts, not what you put in.
4) You do not like the low carb approach and thus is the reason for arguing
Correct, I don't like the low carb approach and no Im not arguing, he is, but Im not.

Why is exercise not even factored into your equation? Exercise is a calorie burn, and certainly affects overall calories burned. If a person is reducing their calories by 1000 as you suggest to burn 2lbs a week, and then burning another 2500 calories from exercise, are then saying the difference is also fat loss? Because that isn't likely going to be the case.

Thats obvious to everyone, however it's the individuals job to factor exercise in not mine.
You can burn the calories with exercise or restrict calories.
If you maintain your weight with 3000 cals then 500 cals of exercise a day will result in a one pound loss in one week.

**Sigh**
1) HE is saying its easier. YOU are saying its not. Prove your stance then. Again, he is not saying its black and white. Its his EXPERIENCE that its like that. Please re-read that statement and my original one if needed
2) You are saying he knows nothing of the importance. Yet again, let me state that he has never said they were not needed. Just not essential. The whole "protein sparing" thing is so overblown IN MY OPINION (caps for a reason if you can't understand)
3) The initial loss may be some...can you prove its not fat? You may say again and again, but the fact remains that we have never seen ANYONE get into contest shape with 10% protein, 10% fat, and 80% carbs.
4) Yes, you are arguing. While you admit that you don't like it, will you admit that you don't know as much as you are coming off as knowing regarding the lower carb approach? Ever prep someone with it? Ever do it yourself? More than once? Practice that on a daily/weekly basis?
This whole bullshit regarding this IFBB pro doing this or this IFBB pro doing that is horseshit. They lie about how much shit they are on and what they take, and you will suddenly believe they are telling the truth about diet? Please don't be so naive. If you do, then you must also believe that they write their own articles in magazines, that when they say they eat chicken breasts and rice ALL YEAR ROUND, that they 'stay within 10lbs of contest shape so that dieting is so much easier', etc etc etc. Jam me full of thyroid, coke, and whatever else jacks these guys up and I will probably eat 2C of rise every hour on the hour.
How is it we see most of the guys with the striations and 'definition' being the guys who cut their carbs through the diet, where guys like you are somewhat defined, yet lacking in paperthin condition?

OUCH, this is a dose of reality, these are wise words Krank but an idiot will not recognize them.

Two things should be clear by now:
TA is as natural as his eating 10.000 cals worth of protein for a month
Either way, the energy balance point is still the only relevant point to fat loss.
