Just a quick update for anyone who cares. 22 pounds to go and I'll be a 308er I have til July 15th to drop the rest off. I'm currently sitting at 330 right on the money.

The best part about losing that much weight is that your joint looks much bigger. I lost 30 pounds and put at least an inch and a half on my little buddy.

Thanks guys, were down to crunch time now got 2 months til my contest and I gotta make 308's. I will tell ya the truth I feel a whole hell of alot better now. Now my wife is complaining that she needs to lose cause I made her look smaller then she was. Just cant win with the ladies!!!!

Hows your bench at the lighter weight? Have you held onto your strength?

I added 25 pounds to my bench, my best at over 400 was 835 I did 860 at the Arnold at 342. I wanna be able to do triple bodyweight eventually. Training is going good and I'm just as stronger if not stronger on all of my lifts now then I was before.

Well Shit I went thru all the pics from yesterday and it looks like I only have a right front delt :( Every pic my right one is bulging and my left one aint, WTF? Guess I better switch hands huh? Hahahaha!!!!

I just got fitted for a Tux and had to get a 64 suit coat. So some where in that area.

Here is the first phase of my diet after I started working with Chris from At Large Nutrition. I dropped the first 40 pounds with just cutting out carbs after 1pm then it got a little harder.
So Chris from ALN stepped in and helped me drop the last 50. We have refined it some since then. We've dropped the Milk to water and Changed the 4th meal some. We added a few different foods to keep from getting bored. But the Protein intake is about the same we have just dropped calories as we get closer to my goal and deadline of July 15th.
As far as my training I still train the same way for my contest and getting ready but I have incorporated 3-4 20 minute Cardio sessions per week and some ab training.
We are doing an Article right now on dropping the weight and increasing my bench at the same time. It will be published in some mags soon.
Here is the basic diet plan from the start:
~5000 calories
Supplements: Nitrean, Opticen, Creatine 500, Multi-Plus, ETS, Thermocin
Meal 1:
Supplements:
5g of Creatine 500 mixed in orange juice (see below)
3 Multi-Plus tablets
4 ETS capsules
3 Thermocin capsules
5 whole eggs fried in butter (2 teaspoons of butter)
438 cals 30g prot. 5g carb. 33g fat
3 slices of wheat toast with 3 teaspoons of butter (you can certainly substitute a different kind of toast if you like)
297 cals 6g prot. 36g carb. 14g fat
1 cup of whole milk
150 cals 8g prot. 11g carb. 8g fat
1 cup of orange juice
110 cals 2g prot. 25g carb 1g fat
Totals: 995 cals 46g prot. 77g carb. 56g fat
Meal 2:
2 serving of Opticen (mix with a total of 8 cups of whole milk)
1846 cals 168g prot. 140g carb. 68g fat
Meal 3:
Supplements:
3 Thermocin capsules (depending on when you take this meal-don’t take the Thermocin later than 1 P.M.)
2 servings of Opticen (in water)
646 cals 104g prot. 50g carb. 3.4g fat
Meal 4:
1 Quarter Pounder with Cheese
510 cals 29g prot. 43g carb. 25g fat
1 small French fries
250 cals 2g prot. 30g carb. 13g fat
1 medium Coca-Cola Classic
210 cals 58g carb
Totals: 970 cals 31g prot. 131g carb 38g fat
Meal 5:
Supplements:
4 ETS capsules
2 servings of Nitrean mixed with 2 cups of whole milk
520 cals 64g prot. 24g carb. 18g fat
Grand Totals: 4977 cals 413g prot. 422g carb. 183.4g fat

Just ofr that first phase it was, we have cleaned it up considerably now. That was about the first 4 months right there. I'm down to about 3500 calories now, and no McDonalds :)

Cut out all the milk and replace it with water. Take out Mcdonalds and replace it with Lean beef, Chix Breast, Tuna, or Ground Turkey Breast along with some green veggies or salad with light dressing. That is it guys, all the supps stay the same!!!

I have finished the rough cut of the article I am writing on Mike's odyssey. That article will contain his diet and why and how we did what we did. The article may be published in Ironman as Steve Holman has expressed some interest in seeing it once finished.
Mike is looking quite good right now and will continue to improve!

Chris has helped me lose the 90 pounds and gain strength. It is getting a little tougher right now but this is crunch time got to lose about 20 more in 7 weeks :)

The guy in the final was Ric Zumwalt. You are probably thinking of is Paul Sullivan. He is the great grandson of John L. Sullivan. He weighs about 200 now.
The guy who drank the oil was Bruce Wey. I broke his arm in 83' at the Nationals.

How have you been feeling Mike? Tired, lack of energy? I know your strength has come up and that's always a positive, just curious how you feel physically.

There are days when I am full of energy and bouncing off walls and then there are days I could just stay in bed and sleep all day. When I was bigger for some reason I lived very well on about 5-6 hrs of sleep but when I do that now I'm dragging ass. It might of been all the excessive carbs and calories who knows for sure.
But I will say this as far as a overall healthy feeling I aint felt this good in yrs. Shoot I use to avoid any kind of strenuous activities before(stairs, excessive walking, just exercise in general) But hell bring it on now. And my knees and ankles (which are very bad) feel amazing also.
