Steroid boards are amusing. Most of them are full of guys who do tons of juice and look like shit. There are few exceptions and some good guys here and there, but for the most part it's a pole smoking contest. I'm not talking about any board specifically, just a general statement.

Sorry guys, just catching up on this thread. I wasn't going to say anything about my experience of the steroid board here, but since this thread has been made and this comment came up I thought it was appropriate to voice my opinion.
Last week I posted a new topic about books on anabolics/steroids. I explained that I am currently drug free and would like to know if anyone on the board had come across any good books on steroids etc that they could recommend to me as I would love to compete in strongman in the future and would really like some guys with experience to point me in the right direction. I was respectful and polite. The next day my thread was gone. Seriously wtf? Everyone starts somewhere. At least I'm not one of these idiots that sticks needles into themselves without any knowledge. I asked for some advice and my thread got deleted. From my experience it's a pretty useless board.
I would like to know who deleted my genuine thread and why.

The steroid board mods do a good good at keeping subjects on topic. They only do away with disrespectful exchanges, I have no problem with that, the G&O has more then enough of that going on. The board is one of the slower boards on getbig and the mods should innovate like the positive board mods did to bring things up to speed. If people don't like the responses they are getting from the mods on topics on the steroid board there are plenty of other knowledgeable people, on various subjects, on getbig. Although all advice should be taken with a grain of salt of course. I saw the exchange that got James apparently banned, I have seen worse on that board, maybe 4th was having a bad day. James, I am sure things can be worked out if you wish them to be worked out or you can be bitter that an internet persona shitcanned your day.

Some are helpful but it's a huge reason why I don't post on lots of the other boards. I lurk but never bother to join.
To be honest, James. It's nothing to lose sleep over. Don't get too engaged with people on steroid boards because even on a good board, it's not uncommon for the losers to ruin it for the rest of the good bros.

In all reality, you need to cut the mods on the Roid board some slack. They get all kinds of wingnuts posting there that should be reading the World Anabolic Review and or using "google" to search products and reaserch them before jabbing there ass cheeks left right and centre. Most people on that form are looking for a quick fix and answers to drugs they know nothing about. Then they have to also put up with would be narks on there looking to bust people. This is only an opinion forum and no one here is a doctor. Lets be realistic here.

well some one on this forum not stating any names right now refer ed me to a so called souse that they use gave me a e mail to order from once i e mailed them i was e mailed back a list of items for sale ect. once i placed the oder witch i thought was going to be lagit i soon came to realize it was all a hokes. this person ******* made a fake e mail with the company's name e mailed me a list off another source and collected my money. This is some the biggest bullshit i have ever ran into with ordering. After thinking and looking at post from this guy it was easy to notice he was the guy e mailing me to. so all in all i was ripped off and now I'm gearless. not in a rush for my gear was just looking to get it togeather now I'm just set back. i love getbig but this was bullshit. I understand some this is my fault to but guess thats how it is...:(

Wish I could tell you. I rarely delete anything. The only time I hit the “Remove Post” button is if it’s a outright sourcing post, or someone posting personal information of other board members (we had a problem with that about a year or so ago.)
As for all the BS postings, you know the busting each other’s balls post, most of it I could care less and hardly ever remove it.
There was a time about two years ago when I completely melted about some post a bunch of people made about a certain friend of mine and I went a little nuts on the delete button. But hey, it was a friend, and at least I can admit I went nuts, lol!

The board had a lot more traffic in the past. In the last year a few getbig members started PMing personal info of several steroid board users all over the place…this ran those guys off.
There is also a well known scammer that preys on Newbies here on getbig. He post under a handful of various names and has been around here for the past 3 years. Ron has been told about it several times, but for some reason no one can get rid of the guy…needless to say, he’s responsible for running off more people then anyone else.

Same as all the boards, Ron makes the person a mod of that section. I'm not sure how his decisions process works exactly with that, never have asked him.
I was made a Mod a few years back over there because a lot of the guys liked my post...nothing special, no big deal.
As for the post, no idea why yours got deleted, never saw them. 4th usually a pretty good guy, so it would surprise me for him to delete a bunch of stuff that shouldn't be. But as for your question directly, any mod can delete, move, merge, modify any post they want, there is no rule against that.

this sounds serious, Ron should address this asap...No matter how popular he thinkg getbig is, that doesnt mean it will last forever. If good posters are being driven off that is a real problem. He should value his good posters, they are part of his bread and butter.

you're a mod there.. tell me how you guys become mods? and why can one of you get away with deleting all of my posts? I never busted anyones balls... talked about sources or anything.. I just wasted my time trying to help because I've juiced for years and I can help.
I became a mod on the board a few years ago because no one else really was doing it. I don't claim to be the most knowledgable (i.e. I don't know everything) or experienced but I think I do a decent job of keeping the board fairly serious & on track. As for deleting serious threads from newbies..I admit I do it sometimes but IMO - It's a fine line because some newbie posts are borderline trolling for gear & like Arnold said there's at least one guy (& probably more) who go around praying on people like that. When they get ripped off they go crying to mods asking us to ban them (when we can't).
& I don't recall deleting your posts &/or seeing your posts...sometimes I have to work &/or life gets in the way & I'm not on getbig. Sorry.

I believe what I said about vet status was directed to your comment about you being one of the only contributing members on the board. He threatened me personally in his PM rants. All of this started because I replied to his post and asked him if he was here to talk trash. We get people talking trash in serious threads over there all the time. Maybe I mis understood his post. Its possible we all make mistakes. I even told him that in PM's before I deleted him, and he continued with the unstable behavior. The way he talks in PM's no board would have him, he'd be banned.
