"They asked the guy that was running the electronic timer," Jackson said. "They said, 'The big-eye don't lie; let me see what he got.' The guy said, 'There it is boys — go out and catch him if you can.' It was 4.13."

One of the most overrated athletes of all time

Mediocre running back, mediocre baseball player

All the talks about him was his “athletic ability”

Should have been a bber instead

I believe he was on winstrol and that's not to say he wasn't athletic or anything, but his injuries and body type screams stanozol usage. Winstrol was very popular back then especially with sprinters, as we know Olympic star Ben Johnson was popped for it and he was a world class sprinter. Bo also had Lyle Alzado on his team, infamous for steroid use and raging on the field. Sucks Alzado went out as a gay aids ridden man. Aids was a rumor, but all others are facts. A

What exactly did he do in baseball or football? He’s not remembered as one of the best running backs nor best baseball player?

He’s not one of the greats in either

All the talk and fuss about him was his “ability” or “potential”

Injury ended his career. Had it not he probably would have set lots of records.

This. Deion Sanders shits all over him in that regard. Bo was made into the myth from Techmo Bowl.

Exactly! Deion proved it all on the field and is one of the best of all time at his position, many regard him as the best

That’s part of the game, if he was injury prone, then he wasn’t as good as expected

He’s not in the same league as Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Walter Peyton, LT, injury or no injury, he simply wasn’t that great but yeah, he had “potential”

Bo was a baseball player. He was an all star and an all star game MVP.

He was a part time football player. It was something he jumped into after the baseball season. No one ever did that before or since. Everyone else (Deion, Aubrey Jordan, joined their NFL teams during training camp/pre season or played baseball exclusively and came back to football after their baseball career didn’t pan out).

Once he became a pro in both sports he was accomplished, the what if was about if he never dislocated his hip in his 20’s. As it is he had the hip replaced and still played in MLB.

Yeah Bo was an all star in baseball and he had a couple of 90 yard touchdown runs so the potential to be great in both sports was there but then he hurt his hip and never played football again and was just average in baseball after it.Too bad he got injured but tough shit a lot of guys go through that.

He'd fold in half like a cheap lawn chair.
