Bill Pearl said Arnold was a guy who could take care of himself in a fight, I don't buy he was intimidated by Mentzer.
He probably just didn't want to risk competing caused by broken knuckles or wrists.
Also, he would do big no matter what, maybe not this level, but he would be a wealthy businessman or some other big shot.
