PROTEIN INTAKE

   Hi all,
     any pros/cons on taking Whey protein right before you go to bed????

it's fine but casein protein would be prefered, or you could mix whey with milk it will take longer for the body to absorb it which is good since you sleep for hours

Yar, Bluto is right on with his answer. I add a good dollop of peanut butter to my late shake, slowing that absorption down all the way. Lasts me all the way to my breakfast. Good to go. Good luck.

I used to eat cottage cheese exclusively before bed since it digest slow(casein in it like bluto mentioned). But now I wake up at least once during the night so it doesn't really matter what source I get my protein from before bed.
