I have no problem with anyone doing whatever they can legally within the rules to reduce the taxes they pay.
Part of my job is to help wealthy people legally reduce the taxes they pay.
My problem is when they do one thing then say another. Romney wants lower taxes for everyone who works or has accumulated assets - he preaches what he practices. Soros and other limousine liberals want to pay little or no taxes, but they want everyone else who makes a decent living and invests their money wisely to pay 70, 80, 90%, be taxed repeatedly on the same money, etc.
"Let me take MY billions outside of the US to Ireland before the loophole closes, while I continue to support those politicians who will try to make everyone else who works for a living pay more and more taxes, because poor people need those tax dollars - just not MY money!"...Typical hypocrisy.
And I love it when Buffett and others like him who manage assets for a living imply that the only taxes they pay are longterm cap gains taxes on their own money. They fail to mention corporate taxes, income taxes on management fees, any bond interest, dividends, short term cap gains, etc.
