correct.....
wide bb are Yates, Cormier, Burke, Ruhl, Dj... etc etc...
you can usually tell by looking at the clavicle bone.... wide bb almost have a straight one... a straight line.... and the narrow ones have more of an angle....like a V.....

well we're not talking klinefelter's narrow but he was narrow-ish

don't get me wrong, even "narrow" guys like heath and arnold can look fucking wide as long as you keep your upper back strength up with your chest so the shoulder girdle doesn't get protracted (a chronic condition among bodybuilders), keep your delt strength balanced (equally strong front and rear delts). the rest is just making your medial delts as huge as possible, keeping the waist trim and watch the quad sweep (don't let legs get too big).

here's a better example look at how cutler looks wider and his torso has a pronounced v-taper even though the midsections are roughly the same size, and ronnie has a few inches on him in height

Bodybuilding is an illusion.. Look some of the best physiques look narrow in clothing and certain clothing does not help.. when you take the top off and the waist looks narrow compared to the shoulders and lats then this makes people look wide

Also, and not that it makes a difference to your point... I don't think Phil mega doses all year round.  He absolutely stays on... a lot too, but I think he goes higher on his gh and slin during contest prep and grows into his stage "width."
