Best Album of 2006

For my tastes, it's Broken Boy Soldiers, by the Raconteurs featuring Jack White. He should forget about the White Stripes and just do this. A solid old-school rock album that sounds fresh and has a lot of great songs. My favorites: Level, Hands, and Steady As She Goes.

I thought it would be Jay-Z "Kingdom Come", but I was kinda disappointed.

I'm really enjoying Meat Loaf "Bat Out Of Hell III".

Jim Steinman wrote most of the album, Meat Loaf rerecorded the 80's Steinman song that Celine Dion sang ("Its All Coming Back To Me Now"), and he's got Steve Vai, Brian May, John 5, and Todd Rundgren playing guitars.
