Will we ever see this again?
« on: January 22, 2009, 09:02:21 AM »
Is there anyone out there capable of making jumps like Ronnie did?  From when he first turned pro to the 1998 Olympia, then the 1998 Olympia to the 2003 Olympia, Ronnie made two HUGE jumps.  He probably added 80+ pounds of muscle over his pro career.  He turned pro around 215 and competed over 300 lbs at the 2004 Grand Prix shows.

To make one huge jump is amazing enough, but TWO?  I don't think we'll ever see anyone like Ronnie until advanced technology (gene doping) takes effect.

Yes, but it would take much patience.

I think that's what took Ronnie so far.  Patience in using gear and in what he used and how much.

I'll enlighten you if you'd like.

people come to a bodybuilding competition to see freaks, just like people went to circus shows displaying disabled and siamese twins back in the days.

You know there are guys like that.  Look at Heath a couple years back.  Hell look at Wolf.  Even guys like Evan Centropani ahve the genetics to make it work as long as Palumbo doesn't fuck him up.

There are already at least TWO myostatin inhibitors available.

Soon every gym rat will look like Ronnie.

There are guys who can add 70-80 lbs of muscle after they turn pro?

I doubt with Ronnie's bulk he can jump that high, certainly not ones that would be considered HUGE.  I bet he can fall pretty hard though.

it's obvious heath is trying to do this with his narrow frame...looks like he'll do whatever it takes to become mro.  too bad he doesnt understand that they are going to give it to him anyway.

Upping the dosage on drugs + injury free training can work wonders.

I'm sure it can.  But 70-80 lbs of muscle of someone after they have turned pro?  Show me another case.

Nasser made some pretty huge jumps.  At some of the Grand Prix shows he competed at close to 300 lbs (298 I believe it was).

Here's a pic of him at 289 lbs at the 99 Arnold Classic compared to one of his earlier shows before he made his jumps in bodyweight

I've only seen pics and vids of this guy. I couldn't imagine seeing him in person when he was that big.

kai and heath are both making progress at a speed comparable to or better than what ronnie did.

not saying their physiques are comparable, just the speed of progress.

ronnies arms always look huge, but at 215 lbs his left bicep looks fucking huge, i'm sure his right one looked about the same, its just the angle. Amazing genetics.

Sure, both men are making progress; but, neither has the ability to pull a Ronnie and put on 80 lbs of muscle.
