No people anywhere have done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Pastor Muthee's blessings appeared to work - Governor Palin filed campaign papers a few months later in October 2005, and was elected Governor the next year.
Governor Palin spoke fondly of the Kenyan pastor on a visit to the churh in 2008, and told a group of young missionaries that his prayers had helped her to become Governor, the Associated Press reported.
