I recall in the mid-‘80s MuscleMag reporting on a Toronto teen who could hit 500. Several years later my one-time lifting partner ran into him at a local gym. The guy, then in his 20s, said he was a physical wreck who could barely manage 225 for reps. Said he had been too young and too gassed and his joints were trashed.
Gassed or not, this teen marvel isn’t gonna be lifting heavy into his thirties, that’s for sure.
