we dont need hugely muscled freaks (men or women) as gladiators. mike o hearn is a great choice, but anyone bigger than him will simply make it look fake as shit when he's beaten by a scrawny 140lb lawyer.

This is part of my plan. As soon as i win the state show and go on to nationals i will try out for american gladiators and become and overnight smash super star hit. I will then go on to acting and then politics.
YOU WILL GET TOSSED AROUND LIKE A RAG DOLL ON THAT SHOW.

if you mean the only guy in those pics, it's Mike O'Hearn

Why are they trying to make him look like a female bodybuilder? What's up with that bra top?

I think the bigger question is...how long will this last?

Good Hollywood is getting cheesy in remaking old classics...

Bionic Women
Terminator

and now American Gladiators....

What next Cagney and Lacey? Mr Ed??

He looks much more feminine than most female bodybuilders.

anybody have any idea of when this show will be on next year? i thought i read it would be on nbc? hard to believe this show will last on a network station and especially if it's on during prime time? maybe it would last for a few episodes out of the curiosity factor?

it should air on usa either before or after wwe or on another night on usa network. or it should air on some other cable network i would think for the highest ratings.

NBC - January 2008 - With the writer's strike shows like this are what you can expect on prime time.

Gladiators are signed for 6 years. Will it last that long? We'll have to wait and see.

Tapings of the show start today.

You grossly underestimate the popularity of this show.  They're going to have some serious eye candy this time around, too.

Gladiators are signed for 6 years.

6 years??

Where'd you hear that??

The original discussion centered around 6 episodes and then 12-13 and then (I've heard) 20.

It's nice to dream, but I'm a realist - I don't see how anyone could've gotten a 6-year contract before the first show was even filmed.

Why do you think it got cancelled the 1st time?

What makes it so different this time?

Is the success/failure dependent on the writers strike then?

Do these guys have the cardiovascular endurance required to survive on the show?

If they are getting 'gladiators' from the cover of Muscle and Fitness then they better be prepared to give away lots of $$$, when i lasted checked BBs were as athletic as Sean Taylor playing next week... :-\

this shit is too funny...what will they think of next...just what a bunch of normal working people want to see every night...maybe they should do an american gladiator follow up show that shows all the gladiators pumping chemicals into their asses and eating 8 pounds of chicken breast a day...

I was thinking the exact same thing...might be better if they let pro athletes in their off-seasons come on and participate
