Pro Division Bodybuilding should GIVE pro cards to the top 5 winners in the Nationals/USAs for the last three years.

They can also give cards to popular amateurs, like Palumbo or Stan McQuay.

Imagine the excitement of seeing today's top amateurs, along with the tier 2 pro guys... it would be something new.

Regardless...

I know I'd pay to see Palumbo in a show, before I'd pay to see some of the lower pros. Many people would.

Agreed to see Palumbo in full flight against some 2nd tier pros would be a Hoot
240 why dont you approach Pro Division on Building them a site

I am not your traditional "web guy" in that I am not interested in building a slow site then milking the consumer for months and years.
A site like that would bore me.
I prefer to be handed an idea from the inspired thinker... then to run with that idea... grow it for them... help them compete... market their ideas... then train them to grow that animal on their own. I'd rather have a referral than a maintenance job anyway. Because then it's a new project, and new excitement.
However, you can rest assured I will be involved in the Pro Division game. You know this.

NO YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO BUILDS CHEAP ASS WEBSITES QUICKLY, AND THAT HAS A MARKET, BUT THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL BODYBUILDING DIVSION, THEY NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE A NICE WEBSITE, AND NO OFFENCE TO YOURS BUT THEY SUCK.

The don't need anything fancy at this point, but if the plan is to have an event in 2006 then they should definitely have a web presence by now (and I'm talking about more than just a few posts on GetBig).
They need one central place for their press releases, basic organizational info, mission statement, contact info, message board, etc.

That would really help get the 'buzz' going prior to their inaugural event this year. There's just so much else going on - I want Pro Division, Inc to get equal time!

maybe the bottom placing bodybuilders could lose their pro card and have to re-qualify. that would make everyone work bloody hard to show up not looking like crap, and it would save some shows from having 5 good pros and 20 washed up guys with distended stomachs who look 8 weeks out.

I'm sure they could find a guy.

I'm envisioning a colloborative effort... Tre handles all the "user needs" for all the fans that want a connection to the athletes. Garraeth handles the back end of a nice message board and ecommerce requirements. 240 is all over the graphics and website user interaction. A project like this would definintely reach the hearts and minds of the 20,000 unique daily getbig visitors.
