I hate Pro-bodybuilding, i couldnt give a fuck bout Cutler, coleman etc, every year its the same thing, the hobby requires no talent, just a needle, some illegal oil and weights.
why did i join getbig, well around 3 yrs ago i was into alot of cardio and registered to become part of the discussion, now i been here 3 years i think, and think "I hate bodybuilding, why am i here" well its fun, and i know most of you guys couldnt give a fuck either bout the IFBB, most of the posts on getbig have fuckall to do with bodybuilding, which is great.

Thats probably the only reason to join getbig, today i approached a fine babe on the treadmill, had a little convo about her work, and she kept touching my arm and she waited for me to finish my cardio so i could walk her out, we walked out and the receptionists (2 females, one blonde and the other brunette) were grinning at me knowing that QB did it again.
before i walked to my car i say "It was fantasic talking with you (then i lightly touched her wrist) we should catch up next week for a drink and we can discuss poltitcs and economic and all that other fun stuff"
She says "absolutely, I'll give you my numer"

I love bodybuilding. Great sport, great routines, inspiring physiques, the whole culture of bodybuilding is great (lifting weights, etc.)

The world of pro bb'ing is pretty weird and unique that i do find it interesting. Regardless of what people say, i respect the pros. Most of them bust their arse and present amazing physiques.
I love bodybuilding. Whether or not i compete, i don't know. But lifting and hell even dieting i find pretty fun
The only problem is i see myself becoming obsessed...

I don't buy the mags.
90% of supps are useless.
My supplement stash consists of whey and thats it.
Drug use in the "sport" is rapant.
Drugs are totally necessary to even be competetive.
You will never make it as a pro.
Even if you did, you probably wouldn't want to be one.
You will make next to no money from it.
Most the guys who do bb'ing are complete wankers.
I know what bb'ing is all about, but i still love it. I just tend to be that kind of person who focuses so much on a certain thing that it tends to "consume" me, so to speak...

I love bbing. I just no longer care for the circus of drug abusing, lying, scum-of-the-earth associated w/competitive bbing, and this shitty industry. Bbing for me, is a way life. I challenge myself daily. To me IT IS ABOUT HEALTH AND SELF IMPROVEMENT. The dumb fucks in this shit business have forgotten about that, which is a shame. It seems there are no people of character, honor or dignity left in this industry. What should have been a great thing has been fucked, with zero hope of ever being fixed.
This whole industry is shit, from the drug peddlers (guru's), to the judges (schmoes), to the media & fans (closeted muscle worshipers), to the competitors themselves (drug abusers, who'll do god knows what to move in placings, score drugs or sponsorship), to the Supplement comp. (snake oil peddlers)....it is all a huge pile of shit. The kicker....these people want to be treated with respect, and the competitors want to be addressed as "athletes" ( ::)). They call this freak show a "sport". What a fucking joke.
I was once a fan of comp. bbing. Then I realized the truth.....slowly....I began to see this shit for what it is. So many here are in denial, just like I was once. So I can somewhat understand why they get upset when the truth is spoken. The truth is hard to swallow.
I stick around these days for the fun. There are some cool people here. Some very witty, funny ones. After a hard day, it's nice to come here and laugh with people who share similar interests (Working out/eating right).
