Hello Cicherillo.
Congrats on nearly beating Italy BTW, your best game ever.
My questions are regarding the posing trunks the pro's are using these days.
What, in your opinion, does pro bodybuilders feel about the posing trunks that are used today?
How do you think the pro BB's in IFBB would feel about going back to the cut of the early 80's?
Thanks,
YIP

While we are at it, no more hiking up the thongs..........

80's trunks were ugly.
Lee's trunks looks ok IMO, they cover the ass but they are not too big

Back in the day you weren't allowed to even display the glutes onstage (ie. hike up your trunks) and thong type trunks (which many of todays are very close to being lets face it) were banned from competition.
In fact even trunks with glitter on them were banned too. they had to be a solid colour only.

NOT A CHANCE
the IFBB knows better than to bite the limp-wristed hand that feeds it

To no one in particular...
Imagine if Arnold S had walked onstage at the 75 Olympia in sparkly purple trunks. Then, afterdoign a split and a few poses, he gave the thong-up-ass pose to the crowd.
Do you think that would have 1) helped or 2) hurt the growth of Bbing?
Now that you've answered that, the answer should be the same for today's guys- does it help or hurt the grown of the sport?

I really don't think the guys give it much thought...
It is what it is...as fashion goes, so does the wearing of uniforms, etc in sports....look at the basketball shorts of the 70's compared to now...bikinis....everyth ing changes and comes full circle.
If someone went out there with the old IFBB insignia trunks ala Arnold/ Franco...they'd get laughed out of the building.

When you have ripped glutes you need the tiny posing trunks to show them off.

I remember when the "moon" pose was becoming a big thing in the IFBB in the early - mid 80's. Platz used it quite a bit & if I remember correctly it was banned (maybe i'm wrong here but don't think so) after a while.Funny how nowadays the IFBB judges define a person's conditioning by looking at their a$$ to see if their in condition.

What if they went out there in a g-string thong?
Would they win 9 olympias?
