Women do spend alot of time viewing their wedding rings as a statement per say.  I see it ever single day and at times pisses me off to no end and want to give em a good ole slap and let them know whats up while they are lying on the floor...buttt

At the same time I like it when my wife shows off her rock to other ladies and then get that jealous/envy look in their eyes and look at you a bit differently.  Sure its all a bunch of nonsense / materialistic BS but still fun non the less.

and I have never showed off...but thanks for noticing (the only Corrola based Lexus are the HS-F, hybrid based on the Prius and the new CT hatch). No RWD Lexus are based upon Corolla which is FWD.

Also, I refuse to use the word "congratulations" in situations that are'nt extraordinary. Anyone can get engaged/married/have children....there's nothing extraordinary in any of these circumstances.Just about anyone can do these things. I usually just say "My condolences" in these times.. I reserve congratulations for truely extraordinary/rare events..I don't feed anyone's ego

1) the size of their engagement and or wedding ring and

2) if their pregnant, meaning some women love to go around showing themselves off as being pregnant especially if their man is rich, handsome, built and so on, basically showing other women and making them jealous to see that they got knocked up by this type of guy and the other women didn't.
