When Trump won a lot of diehard liberals were on "suicide watch".
I shrugged my shoulders and reflected on the good things he might do.
I was 180 deg from, "the world will end if we lose this election" ,belief.
Maybe , I'm an old fart now and lost my competitive zest. :-\
I dunno, but I've never considered going out to protest or boycotting any business.
I'm going on "as is" with my life .
It's a F'n election people and Trump won.
Let's hope for the best and move on.
I was curious if any here were diehard believers on any issue ?

That was the end result of Republicans controlling all three branches of government
This time around they will not only deregulate the banks but also dismantle Fannie/Freddie (which will devastate the mortgage industry and make it much harder and more expensive to get a loan) but they will likely get rid of the mortgage interest deduction. They will also cut taxes and then when it creates no jobs (as it never does) all we'll be left with is massive loss of tax revenue and increasing budget deficits and even greater national debt (which will also cost us that much more since interest rates will be much higher than they are now)
Then of course there will be roll back of environmental protection, loss of healthcare for millions (and more expensive healthcare for the rest ofus), SCOTUS
Let's not forget about this: https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/graphics/2016-nuclear-weapon-launch/
The white working class who handed Trump and the Repubs this election will get fucked far worse than they can even comprehend right now.

Hillary was a disaster as a candidate and you ignored that to your peril
No shit LOL.
That aside, why does the losing side have to act like the world will end after most Presidential elections?

Here's a serious response.
It's one thing to lose an election. We all have setbacks in life, but, to react with the most embarrassing display of childishness in the history of the country is not something you're gonna live down any time soon. It's kinda like the ball going through Bill Buckner's legs in the World Series.
My advice to you is to take up a hobby, and don't talk about politics for the next year because no one except your fellow Lib crybabies is gonna give a rat's ass what you think, feel or have to say about anything.
Howard is an equal opportunity troll.

WTF are you talking about
I hardly said a damn thing on this board about the election results and only posted a few things on a single day on the main board.
For my post on this thread was a response to a specific question and I merely pointed out that things about a Trump/Republican led country that bother me and if they come to fruition should bother everyone else too (unless of course you find a way to benefit from an economic calamity)
As for other people protesting the results of the election - they are just following the advice of Donald Trump from 2012 so kind of hard to criticize them when they are doing exactly what he suggested they should do.
You gave your liberal biased opinion and we gave it the responses that whiny rant was worth.
Unless you can read the future you have no fucking clue what the Trump presidency will bring.
And if you could have read the future 6 days ago, we wouldn't be discussing the COMPLETE fucking beatdown Trump gave the Dems
Donald chilidogged the DNC, just like Liar Priest chilidogged "booty."
They should spank black kids harder in schools, they've tried everything else.
Trump chili-dogged the Clintons, obamas, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg with one big republican Cleveland Steamer!!!!!!

Should be another round of Lib Meltdowns coming when the Trump Cabinet is announced. Looks like Rudy doesn't want the AG job and opting for Secy of State. Hopefully, that means Gowdy will be the AG.Yeah. Funny. Another hacked account. Even I can figure that one.

After Trump's win, Philly tries to cope through stages of grief -- but 'acceptance is not an option'

For many of the more than a million people in greater Philadelphia who backed Hillary Clinton for president, the language of political campaigns is inadequate to describe what they’ve experienced since the election returns came in.
Shissler Rec Center in Fishtown with chalk windows, symbolizing the co-opting of swastikas for the concept “Let in the Light.”
After Trump's win, Philly tries to cope through stages of grief -- but 'acceptance is not an option' Instead, they’re turning to the language of mourning.
“I lost both my parents by the time I was 23. I know what real debilitating grief feels like, and that is what this is,” said Justine Haemmerli, 32, of South Philadelphia.
“I felt like my grandmother died all over again,” said Steve Dolph, 34, of Mount Airy. "There was the same effect: nausea, disbelief, a sense of emptiness, devastation."
Yosef Goldman, 38, a rabbi at Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel in Center City, put it in Jewish terms, naturally: “Many people are experiencing this as something of a shiva. But when everyone is sitting shiva, who brings the food? How do we find comfort when we’re all feeling at such a loss?”
Now, in a city where Clinton beat Donald Trump by a 5-1 margin, thousands of people are still fumbling for ways to cope.
Their responses have been personal and professional, political and practical.

Lena Dunham...Asks Rocks for ‘Guidance'
The flood of Trump-fearing American liberals sneaking across the
border into Canada has intensified beginning early this morning.
Trump’s victory is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans
who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, and live
according to the Constitution.

Sedona is gorgeous - went there. Amazing hikingDid a 5 day hike through the Grand Canyon a few weeks back. It was a great experience, amazing views and solitude. I must have been doing something wrong though b/c those rocks didn't talk to me.

Eating the indigenous mushrooms will allow you to have quite a conversation with 'em.My advice is go with a guide, we used wildland trekking company and it was great. You carry in/out all your food and gear but the guide makes all the meals. When you get to camp you just set up your tent and gear and then you can clean up a bit or relax and the guide makes dinner. They make breakfast for you so when you get up you just need to pack all your shit up and they have an easy lunch you can eat while your on the trails.
Ok, on a serious note, I've always wanted to hike in the SW USA dessert region.
My wife and I are thinking of going this Feb.
The generation of wimps that are having "cry ins" and "safe places" because of the election result will ruin this country. I'm not saying everyone who voted Hillary is a wimp, but the generation of 20 somethings that whine about everything need to toughen up. How anyone can defend their behavior is beyond me.

‘Radical Extremist’ Jeff Sessions Would ‘Start Bringing Civil Rights Cases on Behalf of White

FULL TITLE - MSNBC Guest: ‘Radical Extremist’ Jeff Sessions Would ‘Start Bringing Civil Rights Cases on Behalf of White People’
Former federal prosecutor Paul Butler appeared on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” with Al Sharpton Sunday to weigh in on President-elect Donald Trump choosing Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to serve as his attorney general.
Butler called Sessions a “radical extremist” who would bring “civil rights cases on behalf of white people.”
Partial transcript as follows:
All of these progressive interventions for civil rights, they would be not only dead on arrival, [Sessions] would take us back. Because one thing we’ve seen with other conservative administrations is not only do they stop bringing the cases, they start bringing civil rights cases on behalf of white people. They start saying things like Affirmative Action, like set asides for minority and women owned businesses, they start making the argument those are unconstitutional. Guess what, if Trump gets his way with the Supreme Court, they’re gonna win those arguments. We’re talking about a radical extremist here who would be in charge of protecting everybody’s civil rights. He hasn’t shown any evidence that he’s capable of doing that.
