Hmm thats a idea designed to make profit, a new movement that generates website clicks and so on. These predictions were made before too during 80ties, nothing happened. The thing what will happen in 2012 is the following, the current era of the astrological Pishes will end and we will move in to the next sign, the next sign will have Pluto as a main source, that means we will move in to a cleansing period of the humans, it will be tough to clean it all out, but its needed.

my father was into mayan and aztec history.. even wrote articles and a book.. i asked him many years ago about that belief.. he laughed and said" hell no.. who is to say the guy making the calendar just got tired of doing it?.. maybe the mayan civilizations ceased to be and so the calendar stopped.. maybe he died (he laughed).." but the humor was well taken..

Y2K was not a problem only because lots and lots of money was spent on lots and lots of computer programmers to fix all the software before Jan 1, 2000.

I actually know a few doomsayers who are planning to move "inland" so they won't get "flooded" when the "tsunamis" hit New York.
As for the advancement and intelligence of the Mayan Civilization...show me one photo of a Mayan bodybuilder. If they didn't invent mirrors, weights, posing oil, bodybuilding contests, protein powder, schmoes, or posing trunks, how advanced could they have been! Nuff said!

I think there is a misunderstanding of what it means when it is said that god is "all loving." Your statement here is merely an opinion (shared by others) of what an all loving God should be like.
If by "all loving" we mean that God doesn't allow suffering, then that is obviously false, and always has been. IMO, we should try to attune our understanding rather than jumping to conclusions (i.e. there is no God, or god is evil, etc.).
