Funny thing about this thread is that for all the shit the rest of the world talks about the US, everyone still wants to live here.

You don't see anyone from the US wanting to live in any other country, unless they're talking about acquiring some Brazilian or Ukranian pussy and diseases for their collection.

Team America!!

I live in the greatest country in the world (US) it wouldn't even cross my mind to move to another country. However, this summer we are expanding our business to Guam :D

Hey the USA is fucking cool and I'd go to war with you guys anyday, coz I know it would be a just cause and not anything to do with oil prices and stuff ;). But sometimes things are a little crazy over there, Australia is a little more laid back but still similar in many ways 8).

I kinda look at the USA as like our big brother country that has got a bit of an addiction to speed or something, but in the end he's still ya brother ;D.

Uh, take a 2nd look at the list, US is barely on there.
As for myself, I'd like to experience a few completely different parts of the US for a few years, but I probably wouldn't want to stay there.
High on my list are: UK, sweden, NZ, canada. Having said that, I'm pretty content in the Netherlands.

I spend most of my time in Sydney Australia and Manchester England for most of the year but one country i would love to explore would be Canada.
Anybody got any good storys about Canada

Côte D'Azur, France. Beautiful supermodel women all around, beautiful beaches, great climate, cassinos and great night life. You don't get any better than it. :)

Guam is a territory of the U.S. and will one day be a state.

back to the question, i agree with The Coach, after traveling around the world several times and having lived in Lebanon and Qatar it would never enter my mind to permanently live in another country.

Have to agree with statement.  When you have travelled a bit you just don't want to settle for one place.  There is always so much more to see.  That being said I love Asia, and I'm quite happy working in China at the moment. Give it another 12 months who knows which country will be next.

Our cities are a lot like the US.  I don't think many australian people really "crave" living in a US city and beside desire for weather, I can't see any US people from cities wanting to live in AU.

I live in austria - well, weather sucks and so do most people  ;D
Pretty introvert folks.
Well, Australia, Canada are high on my list.
Maybe when I'm done studying I can join the aussies - they are rightfully pretty picky about us immigrants  :P

Damn straight. Australians dont want their country going down the toliet like the UK or USA. Inconciderate foreigners like muselim ragheads with their 4 wives and 23 children can fuck right off with their values of corruption, pollution, exploitation and vile stench.

Australia is one of the last countries that has yet to be fucked over.

Hope this helps.

Since i read many are interested in Brazil and Argentina (And im familiar with both countries), i must say i like argentina over brazil.

Brazil = Some good places (florianopolis, camboriu, Rio if you dont get killed, Sao Paulo) , "ok" food (Churrasquerias) and good beer. Kinda cheap (forget about buying imported stuff)

Argentina = Buenos aires is just a GREAT place to go and eat for some serious CHEAP money. You guys dont realize how great is. Downtown is kinda dirty but that wont ruin your day :). There are some GREAT restaurants, like CABAÑA LAS LILAS, where you can probably eat the best meat in the world, im talking about a 450gr steak, bloody, perfectly cooked by argentinian "parrilleros", or go to "Siga la vaca" and for us$15 or so, eat as much meat as you can (and its not some cheap ass meat).

So many nice places over there, and the nightlife, oh man, it start at 3 am in the morning and end at 10 am or so :) so be ready for some serious clubbing.

Funny you should say that.

Canada and The Netherlands are my two options, other than my homecountry of course.

Both looking for another socialist paradise. ;)

Financially Canada would probably be the best option for me, but culturally Sweden fits me better. It's one of the few countries where I could bear living in a major city (as long as it isn't Goteborg*). Stockholm is a great city, and somewhere near Observatoriemuseet would be perfect. I'd better start saving now...

A couple of years ago my brother's friend bought some very nice flats in Buenos Aries for about £25 000/$50 000 per flat. I don't know what the prices are like now, but it was considered a very good place to invest in.

Depends where did he bought them. There's this place in bs as where flats price start at us$1.000.000, thats the only area in bs as where i guess its good to invest.

Now, so you can understand if those flats he bought are a really worth, there's this phrase which is usual down here:

Buy an argentinian for its real cost and sell him for what he says he cost.

I say Guam because my wife is from there, I haven't been there, but from the pictures I've seen it's beautiful.........and freaking hot and humid....all the time!!

Ha ha ha ha ha...Americans boasting in ufanistic pride over the U.S being the best place in the World. Europeans, Asians, South Americans: I apologize on behalf of my countrymen, for they know not what they speak of. It is usually the ignorant hillblilly types who've never been out of Kentucky who believe the U.S is the best thing ever since chocolate cake. There are so many places in the World that pawns anywhere in the U.S that it saying the U.S is the best place to live is retarded. Sorry. :-X

Haha Australians do the same thing.  Always makes me cringe when some arrogant cock says that "this is the greatest country in the world".

Many ppl think the USA is very nice place but has terrible leadership/politicians, many americans themselves will tell you that.
What is Bush's approval ratings?

I myself wouldn't mind living in socal for example.

Why do so many ppl want to live in UK and sweden ??? all they have there is cold and rain...

i know that allmost all of the world in some way or another hates the usa for many reasons, i went to school in an american school, so im kinda into american culture also(even thou im from south america)..

one of my teachers told me once that even thou the rest of the world hates what bush does or doesnt do, he gets his job done, which is to take care of american interests all over the world and to look after the USA, no one else, he could care less about what somalia does or doesnt do, and since he has the biggest/best army in the world, he can bully/destroy anyone he wants at any time. Americans have military bases all over the world, and control basically the world economy, so they are only going to look after themselves. im not complaining, i would just do the same thing. hahaha

still I rather live in paraguay  ;D
