Anyhow a realistic sequel would go into how the events of the first two movies were really just repressed memories of a elf like mans bed.

I think a realistic sequel would involve Macauly hacking and slashing his way through families for the Christmas holiday.  A child having that much joy from such sadism that early on simply can`t shrug it off so easily.
