The health benefits are too numerous to list, especially for living a lifetime cancer free and heart disease free- the two major killers. Also this method is proven for extending lifespans across the board for all organism.
There is no evidence that restricting calories will allow you to live longer. Now, I will agree that you may be healthier or even feel better at a lower percentage of BF, but I also am of the opinion that a person who does not eat at McDonald's every day will feel better too, you obvisouly do not.
