He always looked like he just woke up and had a bad hangover. The guy was a known drunk and never looked particularly healthy.
Hitchens died from pneumonia, a complication of the oesophageal cancer he had, at a Texas hospital.

That's unfortunate. He was a brilliant man that experienced a lot physically before the end of his life. He lived his life with a bit of reckless abandon, but he did all he could to live his life to the fullest in his own way.

well i imagine theres a whole bunch of people in heaven that when on earth were adamant believers who yelled in the face of agnostics and atheists alike about their disbelief as if it were ludacris and blasphemous who are now forced to reconcile with hitchens and others and grant them that their doubts were fully acceptable given the crcumstances and that there judgements of their fellow man were ungodly, though well intentioned, to say the least.
