close grip bench went down
« on: January 20, 2017, 02:24:22 AM »
from 2 and a quarter for 10 to 205 for six  >:( >:( >:(

i've been doing it every 48 hrs though so i guess i gotta cut it back to every 3 or 4 days, 1 week is to long for me and i lose the groove/feel of the exercise

and on a side note my half squat is up to 2 and a quarter for 10 and i plan to take it up to 3 or even 4 bills for 10

Are you not using any PED's
If so i would say you are not allowing enough recovery time.
And even if you are i'd still think its not enough recovery time.

Why are you doing it every 48 hours? I think your muscles may be fatigued. Give it a full week then try again.

Plus, one day drops in performance can be affected by a myriad of things - hydration, fatigue, etc....who knows?

Trying to maintain a peak in strength for too long is detrimental and can make you weaker in the end, my guess is you had been adding weight weekly for a while before this drop in strength, cut back have a few easy workouts and slowly build back up to a new peak.

Doing it too often.  Let your muscles recuperate and heal.  Shouldn't be more frequent than once every 3 days.

Yeah agree - deload weeks are common in strength routines.   They make you feel like you're not doing much, but I've found them effective.

Training frequency & PED's out of system & trying to maintain / increase peak strength
I'd say your needing some rest / slightly lighter - less intense workouts for a couple of weeks
maybe 60/70% of max weight - then start over with at least 72/96 hrs rest between workouts.

 ;D

no I can't, and believe it or not I'm a very charming guy irl, rather common with narcissist and even today when I went to buy my pre workout mix the sales dude gave me a 20% discount without me asking, shit lle this happens often to me

and p.s. I have been officially diagnosed as a narcissist and alcoholic by my psych, but I'm not a psychopath/sociopath thank God

"hey you! yes you laddy! can't tell a lie!"  ;D (I listen to this coolass clip on YouTube while training and I think of you shouting at me, so.... FUCK YOU!

and thanks for the feedback other fellas for taking a deload week, but my mind/will won't let me do it, coz it makes me feel like a weak f@g lifting lighter, but I will cut it down to twice a week

You have a very serious strength imbalance in your body weak glutes and legs only strong muscle is the pecs only a matter of time before you are injured.

my legs are weak coz I had 2 knee injuries from basketball that required 2 surgeries and my left quad and calf are permently smaller than the right

the only reason I give a fuck about it now is that I see having leg strength and stability is very important for moving and even generating punching power in boxing

punching power is a complicated move and requires strength power from your knee, hip, shoulder, elbow and wrist

I got good power from my shoulder, and elbow, and decent from my hip and wrist, but my knee is not as stable strong and therefore its the weak link, so I gotta strength it up and stablize it more and that's why I'm doing these damn squats, but I don't wanna gain much more weight, 5 pounds max

goal is close grip three bills for 6 and half squat 4 bills for 10 all while weighing a buck 70 max
